daytimeroyaltyonline.com/topic/8462147/1/SOW: Melanie Loses Her Baby This week Melanie has a miscarriage after Philip both finds out about her plot with Kate and gets into another argument with Nathan. Molly Burnett says, “Melanie didn’t think Philio could ever be mad at her again. Obviously, that’s not the case.” When Philip finds out about Melanie and Kate’s plans for Chloe, he lays into her for betraying his trust. A distraught Melanie turns to Nathan for support. He comforts her and takes her into his arms. Nathan isn’t judgmental when she tells him of her plan to take Parker away from Chloe. “Nathan loves her,” reminds Burnett. Philip comes over to apologize to Melanie, but instead he and Nathan get into a fight over Melanie. Burnett says, “On top of everything that has happened, this is something that Melanie can’t deal with.” Melanie suddenly doubles over in pain. She is rushed to the hospital, and Daniel orders tests. Melanie loses the baby as Philip and Nathan wait to hear the results from the tests. Says Burnett, “Considering all the stress Melanie has been under, I’m surprised that Melanie was able to keep the baby for as long as she did.” The miscarriage has a profound effect on Melanie. She later visits Chloe and apologizes for her role in trying to take Parker. “A child was taken from Melanie, so she has a new [compassion] for Chloe,” Burnett explains. Melanie also gives her relationship with Philip some serious thought. She forgives Philip for cheating with Chloe, but tells him that their marriage can’t continue. She wants him to be with Parker. Burnett says, “I don’t think Melanie will ever completely forgive Philip. She’s trying to find peace within herself.” Nathan continues to insist that he loves Melanie, and want to give their romance a shot. Will Melanie feel the same? SOD: Heroines in Peril Philip finds out about Melanie and Kate’s plan this week, and it has devastating consequences. Philip overhears Melanie and Kate conspiring, and he blasts his wife for betraying his trust. She runs out in tears, and goes straight into Nathan’s arms. While she’s talking to Nathan, Philip shows up. “There is so much going on. She’s trying to steal Chloe’s baby. Everyone is fighting. And she doubles over in pain,” Burnett says. Philip and Nathan rush Melanie to the hospital for Daniel to run some tests. Melanie learns she has lost her baby. “It’s not that Melanie is relieved, but her having this child wasn’t meant to be. But it’s such a hard thing for her to lose, because when a life is growing inside of you, it’s a powerful thing.” After going through this trauma, Melanie has an epiphany about Chloe. She looks back at some of the things she has said and done, and she makes amends with her stepmother. Nadia Bjorlin says, “It’s a good way for Melanie to get some perspective and understand a little more about what Chloe is going through.” Melanie and Philip discuss the future of their relationship. Melanie forgives Philip, but doesn’t think their love is strong enough to sustain their marriage. “She realizes that she can’t get over what he did, because every day she’ll have to see Parker or her dad, and she can’t do it. She will always love Philip and always has loved Philip from the first day she met him, but this is just something that she can’t get over,” Burnett says. Meanwhile, Nathan gears up to declare his love for Melanie once and for all. However, the timing might not be right for her. “She’s running around like a chicken with her head cut off. She’s so confused about everything and she’s just trying to take it one day at a time,” says Burnett.

LOL, PAllison, yes he is.
Thanks for posting the spoiler Sparky! I am looking forward to seeing how Melanie handles all this and whether she grows up a little from the experience. It sounds like it will all be heartbreaking. I hope by the time Melanie and Philip break up, that it's not as bad for Philip as it might have been. Now that he has experienced her betrayal, I hope he is ready to walk away too.

These scenes are going to be heartbreaking.Jay and Molly will definitely do them justice though.I hate that Philip's about to get hurt again,as much as I understand Mel wanting to knock Chloe down a few pegs for the affair, she totally went about this the wrong way.If she REALLY wanted to take Parker, she could have bided her time and done it legally, but NOOO Kate's gotta stick her face where it doesn't belong. After this Kate will have no use for Mel anymore.Sounds like this is going to be a really hard knock for Mel and is going to give her a new layer.

I wish I could be as positive about Melanie as your, Delina, but I see her new attitude as more of the makey nice Melanie and it is my fear that Melanie will lose her edge completely one day I also am having visions of she and Nathan as a couple somewhere in the future after a rethink and recast. Melanie is going to be a Horton; I truly belive it's in the cards.
Poor Philip. He is headed for the breaking point. I hope he smashes Nathan face when he gets there.

Honestly,I try to be positive and hopeful about Mel because I get where she's coming from on some things.Having been abused myself,I've understood where some of her motivations came from.On this one though,I'd like to knock her lights out. There were much better and more humane ways for her to go about getting what she wants. She could have,as I said, bided her time and taken Parker the legal way,or she could have knocked Chloe's block off verbally. But instead, she chose to align herself with someone she KNOWS is a viper and will stop at nothing.I'm not impressed with that.As soon as Kate gets what she wants, she'll chew Mel up and spit her out.Mel will have nothing at that point.Philip I'm sure already suspects something's up.How could he not?Oh...and Addicted...as much as you know I love you...BITE YOUR TONGUE!LOL.I do NOT want to see Mel anywhere near Nathan, lol.

I am not happy about Melanie losing her baby. At least she is going to have some compassion for Chloe. Maybe I can be proud of (My Girl Mel) again after all this is over.

Don't get me wrong,I'm really not happy about her losing her baby either, but it's about time she had a little compassion. While I loved the feisty underhanded Mel we first met,for some reason it's grating on my nerves this time. But with Jay leaving, all my specs have gone out the window, and I'm now guessing Philip will lose both children and that is what's going to prompt him to leave town. His marriage gone, both his children taken from him again (I really hate that),he'd have no reason to stay I guess.Wonder if that's what they had planned all along,or if Parker was supposed to be Philip's son and the writers had to scramble to change that upon learning of Jay's impending departure.I definitely didn't see that coming.

Honestly I loved this.I would have preferred if she had the guilt trip in front of Philip and said all this to him,but I'll take what I can get, lol. It's good to know she at least feels some guilt over her unholy alliance with Kate and that she DOES still care what Philip thinks of her.

Thanks for the video Kpatch. I am glad that Melanie is starting to see that what she was doing to Chloe is wrong. She should have called youth protection, but had no rights to take Parker away from Chloe.

I hope she quits being that way with Chloe. Mind you, now that she has the miscarriage it may make her crazier then ever to get Parker away from Chloe...or she could apologize and back off! That's what I am hoping for!

I read that after Melanie's miscarriage, she understands Chloe better and feels bad about what she has done to her.......

I have now read that too and I think that is great, I feel like everyone just attacks Chloe all the time. I understand that she made her bed and is now lying in it, but there should be more people offering their support to her instead of shunning her...
