Everett’s working on his laptop in the pub when Marlena enters. She asks to join him and he says he’s busy working on a story. She sits anyway and asks why he lied to Stephanie about still being in hypnosis therapy. He pointedly tells her that Stephanie holds Marlena in high regard but hypnosis is a pseudo science used by quacks. Marlena encourages him to continue therapy, even if it’s not with her. He thanks her.
Later, Stephanie stands outside the newspaper office and has a complete flashback to her last encounter with Everett. She finally enters and sees he’s in a bad mood. He says it’s because he is having a hard time crafting a story about May Day. She’s relieved that’s the reason. She brings up the divorce papers. He wants to forget about Bobby Stein. Stephanie says there is so much he still needs to know. Everett doesn’t want to talk about it anymore. He can live his life in the present without knowing the past. She scoffs. He claims Dr. Evans agrees because she discharged him from therapy. Stephanie questions it. He reminds her his memories may be totally gone, so why waste time trying to find them.

Finally, somebody called the great Doc a Quack. I don't know if that was Bobby or Everett but I applaud whichever one said that to her face.
He is lying to Stephanie but I don't really care. I'm more into Bobby/Jada than Everett/Steph

I think he lied very purposely as a test for Stephanie to see if she is going to go blabbing to people about their conversations and then it gets back to him via the Quack.
Stephanie needs to back off. It's not her decision to make. She's become a big ole nag.

Joy. No other way to describe the way Everett told Marlena that she was a half grade above a carnival barker or something like that. "QUACK." That was beyond beautiful.
Now Days get to work and bring in a shrink we can respect.
Decent scene between Ev and Steph and that continued snobbish bewildered look plastered on Steph's face continues to make me smile.
