After taking Jude for a stroll, Eric returns to the apartment and tells Sloan he overheard Leo at the newspaper office talking to her on the phone. She tries to deny it but he won’t believe her. So she admits it and says Leo owes her. For what, Eric asks. For going above and beyond when she was his lawyer. She wants Eric to succeed and enjoy his work the way she does. She wants them to be a power couple. Eric says that’s not who he is and wants to know what this is really about. He segues into the budget and tells her she manipulated the numbers but it was just a trick. There’s a lot that’s not accounted for. He thinks he knows what’s going on. He asks if she has a gambling addiction. She says no and he begs her to tell him what’s going on. She turns the tables and accuses him of pretending he wants to work when he really wants to stay home with the baby. He calls her a martyr and she huffs with Jude before they sat something else they’ll regret. Eric goes through the mail and tears into a Past Due notice addressed to Sloan. It’s a list of recurring charges at the Salem Inn.

Eric isn't quite as dumb as Sloan thinks he is, although she was not wrong saying he is spending her money and contributing nothing

Isn't it better if Eric takes care of Jude instead of hiring a nanny that they clearly cannot afford? That's a contribution to the household too and Sloan is lucky that Eric is so willing to do that. She doesn't even like the kid.
I hope Eric unravels the rest of the story soon.

Beyond this Easter Egg hunt cripes Sloan has turned into a DREARY WITHERING problem child. Get a divorce you fool.
And Eric seems like he is stuck in neutral. Terrible relationship that has deteriorated.
