Leaving the Pub, Kayla runs into Ava and won't let her leave.
Kayla says Ava thinks she's so smart, but she never learns, and there will be a reckoning. With all of the damage that Ava has caused her family and the people she cares about, and how she nearly got her son killed. How does she even sleep at night?
Ava says she tried to protect Tripp, but Kayla laughs. Ava says she begged him to go to China with Wendy, but he didn't listen.
Kayla yells that this is just another one of Ava's conniving, self-centered schemes and that she had the cruelty to drag Steve into it. Forcing him to break that psycho out of prison. Ava looks surprised that Steve told her.
Kayla tells Ava that all she does is use Steve over and over and over again and she needs to stay the hell away from her husband.
Roman comes out, asking what's going on. Kayla just looks smugly at Ava and says that everything is fine. They were just clearing up a few things. Ava asks Roman for a key to Harris' room since she's staying with him. Roman refuses. Her name is not on the lease, and he won't allow her to stay there.
Roman says this is his Pub, as are the rooms above it, and he calls the shots here.
Ava just walks away. Kayla thanks Roman, who says it's his pleasure.

We are seeing another side of Kayla here and it is rather unappealing. Off on her High Horse she dressed down Ava big time. Ava tried to fend her off, but it was of no use.
I liked the fact Days entered into some real emotions here and the final outcome was quietly devastating.
Roman, blindly giving way to his sister, telling Ava she can't move in was quite the dagger. And when Ava mentioned Harris Roman brushed it aside with the landlord mention. Get lost loser was the tone.
Ava and Harris started off the day so promising as that little black book could prove liberating. Instead, apart from ending up empty handed, everything went sideways and now one wonders where Ava will live. Perhaps she will move back in with Tripp and Wendy or Harris and her move somewhere else, but I would be surprised if that happened.

I mean, Ava murdered their father. She raped Steve. Why should Kayla have to see her in her childhood home? Team Kayla all the way here.

I forgot to mention the funniest moment on the show. When Ava asked for a key to her room Roman said "What Room?"

I was proud of Roman supporting Kayla. He was 100% right too. It's not Ava's room. It would be a dereliction of duty to give her a key. Knowing Ava's past, he should suspect she wants to spy on Harris, steal from him or do him harm.

I understand why Kayla hates Ava given their history, but Ava didn't go looking for trouble with Clyde. He sought her out and threatened her son, even had him knifed at work to make his point. Could Ava have handled it differently? Yes, but I don't completely blame her for what she did either. And Steve isn't exactly known for making safe choices when it comes to protecting his family, so it did feel like Kayla was up on her high horse today.
As for Roman, I agree that he shouldn't have handed out Harris' key, but to say he won't allow Harris to have Ava in his room seemed petty. And if he has a problem with Ava being there at all, he needs to talk to Harris about it. I certainly wouldn't be surprised if Harris moves out.
