After a replay of Johnny saying he's going back out and won't come back without Chanel, Julie has a long flashback of telling Paulina she didn't want to worry her but Chanel is missing.
In the present, Julie calls Maggie. Maggie says Doug filled her in -- has Chanel been found? Not yet. THe first responders can't get through because of the snow. Juile hears a noise and thinks it's them. She hangs up with Maggie and turns around, and is shocked by wha† she sees.
It's Paulina, who says Julie has to stay back because she's still radioactive but she couldn't not come to help find her baby. Julie says Johnny went out looking. Paulina says you go this way, I'll go that way. She goes out.
Later, Paulina has found Chanel and is helping her get on the couch in the cabin. Chanel is cold but otherwise seems okay. Paulina wraps her in a blanket. She says she recognized Chanel's whimper and would know it anywhere. Chanel says she slipped on the snow and got stuck between two rocks and she tried to call for help but no one heard her. She says that Paulina saved her life.
Chanel realizes that Paulina is still radioactive. Paulina is worried that she exposed Chanel. Chanel says what's done is done and she's grateful Paulina found her.
Johnny comes rushing in and hugs Chanel. Chanel yelps with pain. Her ankle hurts and she thinks it's sprained. Johnny asks if the first responders found her. She points to Paulina.
Paulina realizes Julie is still out in the cold.
Julie comes back. She's glad Johnny called her. Johnny is glad that they had phone signal.
Julie is grateful that Chanel has been found but is angry at Paulina. She says Paulina exposed them all to radiation with her reckless action and might have done more harm than good.

What could have been a decent (not great) storyline was blown up in seconds. Ludicrous that Paulina could get there. That snow plow explanation is pure BS. Medical help would have arrived before her.
Be that as it may the worst part was the rapidity of how all of this got resolved. Why bother in the first place.
Paulina makes me sick. What Abe sees in this woman has always been beyond me. And thanks to Julie for pointing out the obvious.
Even when they had an opportunity to extend the drama with Julie running into trouble outside they quickly closed that door as well.
Amateur hour. End result. A BIG NOTHING. Apart from the radioactive fool putting everyone in danger.

OF course Paulina found Chanel when trained professionals could not. I can just picture her driving that snow plough and muttering and yelling to herself. She has now smothered her 'baby girl' with dangerous radiation. I assume that Chanel's fertility is now completely messed up. Thanks Mom. In addition she exposed Julie, an 80 year old vulnerable segment of the population with a 98 year old husband. I am glad Julie called her on this because it is appalling selfish behaviour.

Prediction. Chanel is going to wind up pregnant and there will be complications because of the radiation exposure.

Prediction. Chanel is going to wind up pregnant and there will be complications because of the radiation exposure. Gruesome. Cripes that would be a way of not only extending the stale Paulina ailment story but actually making it even worse.

One other off topic sort of side note. Yet another reason Kayla should be removed as Chief of Staff. INEXCUSABLE for a radioactive patient to just waltz right out of the hospital.
Just another gruesome gaffe at the hospital under Kayla's watch. I'll take Sarah or even Tripp over her any day.

I definitely think that this is going to spin off a story line of either Chanel becoming infertile or developing cancer herself because of Paulina's self importance. I get that her daughter was in danger, but honestly, it's insulting that she was the ONLY person that could find Chanel.
I would have loved for Johnny/Julie to have found Chanel and then Paulina exposing her unnecessarily instead of being the "justified" hero because she couldn't wait. That would have been a more dramatic fall out. Now if something happens to Chanel because of Paulina's selfishness, it is justified as the right course of action. Once again, no real consequence for Paulina's selfishness.
