Every person I've known who has struggled with drugs/alcohol has had something deeply traumatic happen to them. And some people judge and say they're weak but maybe they were using those things to get by to face another day. Not condoning it. But I wonder what he went through to cause his struggle since his life seemed like a pretty good life.I haven't read his book though.
It is sad and though he is remembered for Friends, I did like his re-boot of the Odd Couple. Hope he has found peace.

Such sad news. I've ready so many comments all saying what a kind man he was. May he finally be at peace. Chandler Bing was always my favorite Friend.

not soap related but Bobby Knight (coach of the Indiana Hoosiers college basketball) died at age 83

Rosalynn Carter has died. She was 96. She and Jimmy were married 77 years! Wow. What a life. Yeah that is a really long time. I read a story that Jimmy Carter's mom, who was a nurse actually delivered Rosalynn as I think they were neighbors and Jimmy actually met her that day, as a baby! |
