Prologue

*Sydney and Ceri both reach for a journal on the ground, and end up touching hands*
CERI: Hi.
SYDNEY: Hi.

Sydney and Ceri met during one of the darkest times of Sydney's life...
CERI: Whatever happens, I'm here for you.
SYDNEY: Thanks.

But their meeting soon turned it into one of the happiest...
CERI: I love you.
SYDNEY: I know.
*Sydney and Ceri kiss*

You could say it was love at first sight.
SYDNEY: There's this girl, her name's Ceri...Will, I think I like her. As in “like her” like her.
WILL: I think my baby sister's falling in love.

Within months, they began to date. And, got each other through some tough times.
SYDNEY: You are the mot amazing girlfriend in the world.
CERI: Well, you're the most amazing girlfriend in the universe.
*Ceri and Sydney hug*

Then, over a year and a half ago, something big happened...
SYDNEY: Do you think we should everyone at the party tomorrow?
CERI: Sure. We told our parents, and they're cool with it.
SYDNEY: As long as we're happy, that's what's important. And I've never been happier.
*Sydney gets down on one knee*
SYDNEY: Will you marry me?
CERI: Yes! Of course I will!
*Sydney puts a ring on Ceri's finger, then stands up and the two kiss*
SYDNEY: Ceri and I are engaged!
*Ceri puts a ring on Sydney's finger*

Chapter 1

2027

SALEM U – SYDNEY AND CERI'S DORM ROOM
Sydney was sitting on the couch in her dorm room at Salem U. She was talking on the phone.
SYDNEY: Oh, you know, same as always. Just finished studying for my bio final for tomorrow.
Pause.
SYDNEY: How's work?
Pause.
SYDNEY: Well, that's good.
Pause.
SYDNEY: What time do you get off tonight?
Pause.
SYDNEY: Okay. I'll wait up for you then.

STUDENT CENTER HALLWAY
Ceri was currently on break from her job at Salem U's student center. It was she who was on the other end of the phone.
CERI: Are you sure? I don't wanna make you tired when you have a big final tomorrow.

DORM ROOM/STUDENT CENTER – SIDE-BY-SIDE SHOT
SYDNEY: That's really sweet. But, I'll be fine. I won't be tired. My bio final's not until 11.
CERI: Okay, if you're sure.
SYDNEY: Definitely. By the way, I called the caterer, and they're all set. Got the RSVP from Will, Sonny and Ari, they're all definitely coming.
CERI: That's good.
Ceri looked at her watch.
CERI: I gotta go. My break's about to end. I'll see you in a couple hours.
SYDNEY: Okay, I love you.
CERI: I love you. And, I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you, starting in just two short weeks.
SYDNEY: I am so looking forward to that, too. Okay, bye.
CERI: Bye.
Ceri and Sydney hung up their phones.

DORM ROOM
Sydney got off the couch and put some books in her backpack. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
SYDNEY: Just a second.
Sydney shoved one last book in, zipped it up, and went to the door. She opened it and saw...
SYDNEY: Allie!
ALLIE: Hey, Syd!
Allie dropped her bags and threw her arms around her little sister. The force of the hug almost knocked them over, but Sydney was able to steady them.
SYDNEY: It's so good to see you!
ALLIE: It's good to see you, too!
SYDNEY: When did you get in? I thought you weren't gonna finish finals until next week.
ALLIE: Oh, yeah, I finished early.
SYDNEY: Cool. Have you been to see mom and Lucas?
ALLIE: Not yet.
SYDNEY: Do they even know you're here?
ALLIE: Not yet.
SYDNEY: How's the car?
ALLIE: Don't know. Didn't drive it.
SYDNEY: So, how did you get down here?
ALLIE: I had a friend drive me over. Hey, do you mind if I crash here for the night? I don't want to disturb mom and dad tonight.
SYDNEY: I'll have to talk to Ceri, but I don't see why not.
ALLIE: Cool.
SYDNEY: Are you okay?
ALLIE: Sure I am. Why?
SYDNEY: Just wondered. You seem a little...I don't know, off.
ALLIE: In what way?
SYDNEY: I don't know. You just seem different than usual.
ALLIE: I'm fine. I'm just very tired from my trip. So, I think I'm just gonna go lie down for a bit, if that's okay.
SYDNEY: Sure. I'll show you to your room. Come on.
Sydney led Allie down the hall to a spare bedroom.
ALLIE: Thanks.
SYNEY: No problem. If you need anything, I'll be in the living room.
ALLIE: Sounds good.

I wonder what's up with Allie. It cracked me up for some reason when she said, "Don't know. Didn't drive it."

Chapter 2

DORM ROOM
Ceri opened the door and walked in.
CERI: Hey, I'm home.
Sydney got off the couch and gave Ceri a hug.
SYDNEY: Hey.
They kissed.
SYDNEY: How was work?
CERI: Good. Tiring, but good. How was the studying?
SYDNEY: Kinda boring, but good.
CERI: Ready for the bio final tomorrow?
SYDNEY: As ready as I can be.
CERI: You'll be great.
They kissed again. Then, Ceri noticed something.
CERI: We have a suitcase?
Sydney looked over.
SYDNEY: Oh, yeah. Allie's back in town earlier than expected, and she needed a place to stay for the night, so I let her stay in the guest room. I hope that's okay.
CERI: Of course it is, sweetie. She's your sister.
SYDNEY: Yeah. She had her backpack with her, but I guess she forgot to take her suitcase into the guest room. I'll go put it in there.
Sydney took the suitcase into the guest room. Allie was already fast asleep on the bed. Sydney quietly put the suitcase in the corner of the room. She then went out to the living room. Ceri was sitting on the couch. Sydney sat down next to her and put an arm around Ceri. Ceri snuggled up next to Sydney and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Sydney twirled a lock of Ceri's hair.
SYDNEY: Hey. How are you?
CERI: I'm good. Kinda tired, but good.
SYDNEY: Same here. You wanna go lie down and cuddle until we fall asleep?
CERI: That sounds really nice.
The two got off the couch and headed for the bedroom.
CERI: I can't wait until we're finally together forever.
SYDNEY: Me either. I'm so ready.

SAMI & LUCAS' HOUSE
SAMI: I'm not ready.
Sami and Lucas were getting ready for bed.
LUCAS: It's still two weeks away.
SAMI: I don't even think I'll be ready then. Lucas, what are we gonna do?
LUCAS: Would you just relax, Sami? We're gonna be supportive, just like we always are. Just like we were with Will when he got married to Sonny.
SAMI: But, this is different. This is my baby. I'm not ready for her to be all grown up, yet. I lost so much time with her.
LUCAS: I know. But, she's still your baby. No matter how old she gets, or what happens in her life, she's still your baby.
SAMI: I know. I mean, I am happy for her. Ceri is so sweet.
LUCAS: Look, all parents are nervous when their kids get married. I'm nervous, too.
SAMI: I know. You took care of Sydney ever since she was ten. You spent those five years that I couldn't making sure she had everything she needed. I guess I never really thanked you for that. You, John and my mom are all amazing.
LUCAS: Well, I was more than happy to take care of her. Sydney's a great kid. And, if I had to, I'd be more than happy to do it all over again.
SAMI: I love you, general.
LUCAS: I love you, too, trouble.
Sami and Lucas kissed, then turned out the light.

Awww I love Lucas calling Sami trouble. They are such a great couple. I wish the real show would have kept them a couple instead of having Sami bounce around and eventually decide EJ is the love of her life.

I have a feeling there's something in that suitcase Allie doesn't want Sydney to see. I wonder what it is.

I really enjoyed the Lumi scene. They are one of my all-time favorite couples.

Chapter 3

WILL & SONNY'S HOUSE
It is now the next day. Will and Sonny are getting ready for work.
WILL: Two more weeks. Just two more weeks.
Sonny chuckled.
SONNY: Will you calm down? Everything's gonna be fine.
WILL: Sonny, how do you expect me to be calm at a time like this? In just under two weeks, my baby sister is getting married.
SONNY: And she will be absolutely fine.
WILL: I know she will. It's not her I'm worried about. It's mom. She's always been the most protective over Sydney. I just don't know how she's dealing with it.
SONNY: Sami has gotten a lot stronger over the years. She will be fine.
WILL: But, that's her baby. She won't have anymore kids in the house after this.
SONNY: Will, she hasn't had any kids in the house for nearly six months already. To be honest, I think she and Lucas are enjoying a bit of quiet.
WILL: I guess.
Will sighed.
SONNY: Come on, what's really going on here?
WILL: I'm just...I'm nervous, okay? Sydney's gone through a lot in her life, and I want her wedding day to be perfect.
SONNY: It will be. You just have to trust that everything will be fine. Sydney and Ceri are like you and me, or John and Marlena. Nothing can ever separate them.
Sonny took Will by the arm.
SONNY: I get it, okay? You're scared for your little sister. And, you're right to be. But, like I said, everything will be fine. Just relax.
WILL: All right. You're right.
Sonny and Will smiled, and kissed.
WILL: You know, helping Sydney prep for her wedding's been reminding me of ours.
SONNY: That was a good day. And in two weeks, hers will be, too.

DORM ROOM
Ceri is cleaning up some dishes that she used from breakfast this morning. She looked up and saw Allie walk out.
CERI: Hey. Sydney told me you were in town.
ALLIE: Oh, yeah. Cool. Hey, Ceri.
CERI: How are you?
ALLIE: I'm good. How are you?
CERI: Good.
Allie sat down on the couch.
CERI: Want some breakfast? I just finished cleaning up, but I can make you something, if you'd like.
ALLIE: No thanks. I'm not very hungry right now.
CERI: All right. Well, if you change your mind, the fridge is full of stuff.
ALLIE: I'll keep that in mind. Actually, I think I'm just gonna go for a walk.
Allie got up and walked towards the door.
CERI: You okay?
ALLIE: Yeah, I'm fine. Why?
CERI: Just wondered. I'm gonna be heading to work in about an hour, so if you come back and the door's locked, just use the spare key under the mat.
ALLIE: Okay, thanks. See ya later.
CERI: See you.
Allie left. Ceri finished drying the dishes and then went to change into her work clothes. She had just finished when a knock came to the door.
CERI: Forgot something already, have you?
Ceri opened the door expecting to see Allie. She was most surprised to find a young woman with brunette hair, about the same age as her, on the other side of the door.
GIRL: Not exactly, but I was hoping you'd be home when I came over.
The girl spoke with an English accent.
CERI: Lilith?
LILITH: That's right, Ceri. I've come to visit.
Lilith embraced Ceri and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

Uh oh. Why do I think Lilith is trouble? Old gf or something?

Great chapter André DiMera. Obviously Allie is not okay because everyone is asking if she is. I can't wait to find out what's up with her.

I have a feeling that Lilith is trouble with a capital T.

Chapter 4

DORM ROOM
Ceri pulled back.
CERI: What are you doing?
LILITH: I didn't think you'd mind it, to be honest.
CERI: Lilith, you can't just kiss someone.
LILITH: Oh, come off it! You didn't mind when we did it in Secondary School back in Wales.
CERI: That was a long time ago. I'm engaged now. I'm getting married in two weeks!
LILITH: Married? Seriously? My best friend, my girlfriend is getting married, and I don't even get an invitation?

BRADY PUB
Allie walked in. She didn't get very far in the door before her parents spotted her.
SAMI: Allie?
Sami and Lucas stood, walked to their daughter and hugged her.
ALLIE: Hi, guys.
SAMI: Welcome home!
LUCAS: We didn't think you were coming in until next week. It's great to see you, though.
ALLIE: Yeah. I got out early.
SAMI: That's great! Come on, you should join us. We're having brunch with Will and Sonny.
Sure enough, Will and Sonny were seated at the table.
SONNY: Hey, Allie.
Will got up and gave Allie a hug.
WILL: Good to see you, kid.
ALLIE: You too, Will.
Will, Sami, Lucas and Allie all took a seat.
SAMI: We already ordered, but what can we get you?
ALLIE: Actually, I'm not very hungry. I think I'll just have a coffee. Black.
A nearby waitress had heard this, and gave Allie a cup of coffee.
ALLIE: Thanks. Please, keep them coming.
Allie rubbed her forehead and took a long drink from her cup of coffee.
SAMI: Are you okay?
ALLIE: Yeah, I'm fine. Just a small headache. It's nothing.
LUCAS: When did you start drinking coffee?
ALLIE: At school. I had to find some way to stay awake while studying.
SONNY: How's college?
ALLIE: Really good, actually. I think I should only have one year left.
SAMI: That's great, honey!
They went on talking and Allie drank her coffee while the other four ate. Eventually, Sonny looked at his watch.
SONNY: This has been a lot of fun, but I have to go. I've got work in a little bit.
Sonny and Will kissed.
WILL: See you tonight.
SONNY: Thanks for brunch, Sami.
SAMI: Take care, Sonny.
LUCAS: I have to go, too.
SAMI: Same here. You're staying with Sydney and Ceri, right Allie?
ALLIE: Yeah.
LUCAS: Well, you know, your room is still available.
ALLIE: I'll keep that in mind, thanks.
SAMI: It's so good to see you!
Allie and Sami hugged.
ALLIE: You too, mom.
LUCAS: See you soon, honey.
ALLIE: You bet.
Allie and Lucas hugged. Then, he and Sami left.
WILL: So, what's really going on?
ALLIE: No idea what you mean.
WILL: Come on, Allie. I wasn't born yesterday.
ALLIE: There's nothing going on! Why does everybody keep asking me if I'm okay?
WILL: Because you don't seem okay. You seem upset about something. Whatever it is, it's made you not hungry. Since when are you not hungry?
ALLIE: Will, I appreciate the concern, but I'm fine. I'm a big girl. I can take care of myself.
Allie rubbed her temple and took another long drink of coffee.
WILL: Oh, it all makes sense, now.
ALLIE: What?
WILL: It should have been obvious to me. The lack of hunger, the thirst for black coffee, which I know for a fact you always drink with at least two sugars, the way you're acting a bit...off. Don't know why I didn't see it before.
ALLIE: What?
WILL: You're hungover, aren't you?

As I was reading I was thinking, Allie is into drugs or something. I was wondering if she actually has a school to go to. Her getting out a week early reminded me of on the real show when JJ first showed back up from boarding school. LOL
