Chapter 61 KIRIAKIS MANSION Brady, with a glass of water in hand, sat down. BRADY: I'm a little surprised to see you. Sitting across from him was Chelsea. BRADY: I thought you would have been rebuilding the Pub, or working at the hospital. CHELSEA: Today's my day off, and it's been a while since we talked. BRADY: Great. So, how are the girls? CHELSEA: Perfect, as always. Here. Chelsea got out her phone and showed Brady a picture of the three babies. BRADY: Oh, they're adorable. CHELSEA: Thanks. Sydney and Ceri are watching them right now. BRADY: That's good. CHELSEA: So, how are things with you? BRADY: Great. Titan's in a really good place now, finally. I'm working out a new contract with the head of Countess W, as I'm sure you know. And, now that the storm is over, things are going really well. But, I don't think you came just to hear about my life. CHELSEA: Not exactly. BRADY: Okay, I'll bite. What's going on, Chelsea? CHELSEA: I'm here as a concerned family member. BRADY: Concerned? Why concerned? CHELSEA: I feel I have reason to be. How are things with my mother? SALEM BEACH A D.J. (yes, the same D.J. from the last time there was a party in Salem) was hooking up some machines. Will walked up. WILL: Getting everything set up there? D.J.: As set as it's gonna get. The D.J. looked up and smiled. He stood, and the two men shook hands. D.J.: Good to see you again, Will. WILL: Thanks, T.Y. And thank you for doing this on such short notice. D.J.: Nothing short notice about it. You've been planning this party for a month. WILL: Yeah, well, the conditions weren't as great as I hoped they'd be. D.J.: Hey, if there's one thing I am, besides a music fanatic, it's adaptable. So, are you ready to party? WILL: Definitely! D.J.: Good. Because, I found something that might interest you. The D.J. handed Will a CD. WILL: No way! I haven't heard from these guys in years! D.J.: I heard you and Sonny liked their one big song, so I called in a few favors and got it for you. WILL: This is awesome! Thanks! D.J.: No prob. How is Sonny, anyway? WILL: He's good. He's at work right now, but he'll be meeting up with us pretty soon. D.J.: Excellent. WILL: Hey, thanks again for doing this, T.Y., this is gonna be an awesome party!

Love how Chelsea is digging for info about Brady and Billie. No sneaking about the bush for that young lady... she just comes right out with what her question is!
Can't wait for the party, I know that it is NOT going to go the way Sonny & Will want it to go!!

Chapter 62 KIRIAKIS MANSION BRADY: Things are good with her. She loves spending time with you and the girls. She's glad to be back in Salem. But, you know all that. You and Max are staying with her at the Salem Inn until the Pub gets fixed up, aren't you? CHELSEA: Yeah, we are. But, that's not what I meant. BRADY: Then what did you mean? CHELSEA: How are things between you and my mother? BRADY: Oh, that. CHELSEA: Yeah, that. BRADY: Things are good. CHELSEA: Just good? BRADY: Great, actually. We're having a great time together. Went to lunch a bunch of times, saw a movie. We're doing really good. CHELSEA: What do you think of my mom? BRADY: She's really cool, and nice. I think she's pretty awesome. CHELSEA: Do you like her? BRADY: Yeah, of course I do. CHELSEA: I mean, as more than a friend. BRADY: Yeah. CHELSEA: Do you want this to go further? BRADY: If she's interested... CHELSEA: She is. She'd kill me for telling you that, but she is. She really likes you. BRADY: And I really like her, too. Yes, I would definitely like to take things further than just friends. And like I said, as long as she's interested, I'd be more than happy to love her. Chelsea, you don't have to worry. If things work out between me and your mom, which I hope they do, I'll be the best man I can be for her. I'll take care of her. I would do anything for her. I would never hurt her. CHELSEA: Good. I just wanted to make sure that we're all on the same page. BRADY: I know. And, I'm glad we talked about this. We're all adults, and whatever happens between Billie and me affects all of us. CHELSEA: Exactly. Chelsea looked at her watch. CHELSEA: Well, I should be getting back to my girls. Chelsea and Brady both stood up. Brady walked her to the door. CHELSEA: It was good to see you, Brady. BRADY: You too. CHELSEA: You're coming to the party tomorrow, right? BRADY: Wouldn't miss it. CHELSEA: Good. My mom will be there, too. I'm actually really glad you two are thinking about getting together. I think you'd be cute together. ALAMAIN MANSION Ceri and Sydney were hanging out in the bedroom. CERI: So, the party's tomorrow. SYDNEY: I know. I can't wait. CERI: Me either. The girls were looking at the rings on their fingers. SYDNEY: I'm really glad your dad's cool with this. CERI: Same with your mom and Lucas. SYDNEY: So, do you think we should tell everyone at the party tomorrow? CERI: Sure. Our parents know, and they're cool with it. SYDNEY: Yeah. Besides, as long as we're happy, that's what's important. And I have never been happier. CERI: I love you. SYDNEY: I love you. Sydney and Ceri kissed. WILL & SONNY'S HOUSE - BEDROOM Ari was sitting on her bed, writing in a notebook. ARI: So, she'll be at the party tomorrow. This is gonna be very interesting. Ari put her pencil down. In her notebook, she had written "AH & CA" with a heart around it. ARI: You will be mine, Ceri Alamain. Very soon, you will be mine.

Chapter 63 SALEM BEACH The D.J. was hooking up his machines as Will, Sonny and Ari looked on. D.J.: Should be finished in just a moment here. WILL: No worries. The party doesn't start for another few minutes. There was a click. D.J.: There we go. The D.J. picked up a microphone. D.J.: Testing. Testing. Can you hear me? SONNY: Loud and clear. D.J.: Excellent. He pulled out a CD. D.J.: Then, let's get this party started! The D.J. put the CD into a player. A song started up. Click here to listen to it. As the sounds of a Tears for Fears song flowed out of the speakers, Sonny and Will began to slow dance, as Ari and the D.J. watched. A minute or two later, Ceri, Sydney, J.J., and Rhiannon all arrived together. SYDNEY: Whoa! J.J.: This place looks great! RHIANNON: And the music's awesome! ARI: Hi, guys. SYDNEY: Hey Ari. RHIANNON & J.J.: Hi. ARI: Hi, Ceri. CERI: Hi. J.J.: So, you wanna dance? RHIANNON: Totally. CERI: You wanna dance? SYDNEY: Definitely! ARI: Think I can have a dance at some point? SYDNEY: Maybe. We'll see. ARI: I meant with Ceri, not you. CERI: Like Sydney said, we'll see. Ari rolled her eyes. SYDNEY (whispering): I can't wait to make the announcement. CERI (whispering): Once everyone gets here, we will. Will and Sonny had been passing by. WILL: What's that about me? Sydney, Ceri, Will and Sonny chuckled. SYDNEY: Not that kind of Will. WILL: I know. SONNY: But really, what's going on? CERI: You guys will just have to wait and see. J.J.: You have any idea what they're talking about? RHIANNON: Maybe. A cheeky smile crossed Rhiannon's face. J.J. smiled. J.J.: I love you. RHIANNON: I love you, too. J.J. and Rhiannon kissed, as did Ceri and Sydney, as well as Will and Sonny.

Chapter 64 SALEM BEACH Click here to listen to the music that's playing. By now, the party was in full swing. More and more people had been arriving and were dancing along to the music that seemed to burst out from the speakers. Sydney and Ceri were among them. SYDNEY: So, what do you think? CERI: Of the party? It's awesome! SYDNEY: Yeah, it is. But, I meant about the announcement. CERI: How about once the slow dances start? SYDNEY: Okay. I'll be right back. Just then, Ari walked up. ARI: So, since you're going away for a few minutes, mind if I dance with Ceri? SYDNEY: That's up to her. CERI: I guess. SYDNEY: Okay. Have fun. Sydney kissed Ceri on the cheek and then walked away. ARI: Oh, we will. The two began dancing. Sydney walked up to the D.J. D.J.: What's up, girl? Sydney whispered something into the D.J.'s ear. D.J.: Well, I've got a request to play from your brother, and then, I'll probably play the slower songs. SYDNEY: Sounds good. Thanks. D.J.: No problem. Have fun! Meanwhile, Ceri and Ari were still dancing. ARI: You look really pretty tonight, Ceri. CERI: Thanks. You look nice. ARI: Thanks. CERI: I wonder where Sydney is. ARI: Who knows? On the inside, Ari was thinking "who cares". ARI: Well, this is nice. Me and you. This. CERI: Ari, I think you and I need to have a little talk. ARI: Hey, you don't have to say anything. I completely understand. CERI: See, I don't think you do. ARI: Oh, I do. Let's be honest, from the first time you met me, you thought I was flirting with you. In fact, you think I'm flirting with you right now. CERI: No, I don't think. I know. ARI: Oh, please. I was not and am not flirting with you. That's just the way that I am. Sorry if you interpreted it as something else. CERI: Oh, I think I'm interpreting it as exactly what it is. ARI: It's not that I'm not flattered or anything, but you're not my type. CERI: Ari, please, stop. I'm Sydney's girlfriend. I'm sorry, but you need to accept that. ARI: I don't think I can. Or maybe I just don't want to. Ari planted a kiss on Ceri. Just then, Sydney walked up and, in a voice that would have made her Grandpa Roman proud, she said... SYDNEY: What the hell?

Chapter 65 SALEM BEACH Sydney walked up just as Ari planted a kiss on Ceri. SYDNEY: What the hell? Ari jumped when she heard Sydney's voice. ARI: Sydney. SYDNEY: Ari. Ceri walked over to Sydney. CERI: Syd, this wasn't my idea. SYDNEY: I know. I heard. I was about to stop her when I came here, but she was too quick. ARI: Hey, can't blame me for trying. Sydney cracked her knuckles. She turned to Ceri. SYDNEY: Are you okay? CERI: Yeah. SYDNEY: Good. I know it wasn't your fault. I'm not mad at you. Her, however, that's a different story. Sydney glared at Ari. SYDNEY: Ceri, I'll be right back. She pointed at Ari. SYDNEY: You. Come with me. With a slightly guilty look on her face, Ari followed Sydney. They went to an area where no one could see them talking. SYDNEY: I'm going to try to be as calm as I possibly can when I say this... Sydney smacked Ari upside the head. SYDNEY: What the hell was all that about?! ARI: Ow! That hurt! SYDNEY: You want me to do it again? ARI: No! SYDNEY: Then answer the question! ARI: Okay, okay. I'm sorry! I just couldn't help myself! SYDNEY: Wrong answer. ARI: Wait! Look, it's just, Ceri's really pretty. And I've never felt this way before. I want her. SYDNEY: Arianna, you know that she and I are dating. How many times have I told you that she and I are dating? ARI: A lot. SYDNEY: Well, why did you do that? ARI: I don't know. Like I said, I couldn't help myself. I saw what I wanted, and I tried to take it. SYDNEY: No. There are some things you just don't do. Trying to steal your aunt's girlfriend is one of those. ARI: I'm sorry. I don't know what else to say. SYDNEY: Me either. ARI: So...now what? SYDNEY: I don't know. I haven't thought about that. I need to think about this. ARI: About what? SYDNEY: What to do with you. ARI: Well, it's not like you'll actually do anything. I mean, you're the nice one. Sydney chuckled. SYDNEY: I may be nice, but I'm still a DiMera. And you seem to forget who my mother, coincidentally, your grandmother, is. I'm not as weak as I used to be. Ceri's made me stronger. I'm ready to fight back. So, unless you want World War IV to start, stay away from Ceri. Sydney turned around and walked back to the party. D.J.: All right. And now it is time to play a request. I got this one from a certain Mr. William Horton to a Mr. Sonny Kiriakis. And here it is!

Chapter 66 SALEM BEACH Click here to listen to the song that's playing. SONNY: No way! WILL: Yes way! SONNY: I cannot believe that they had this song! WILL: Hey, T.Y.'s good. SONNY: It's been years since I've heard this song! WILL: I know. So, let's dance! Soon, everyone was dancing as the Bastille song pumped out of the speakers. CIARA: I love this song! CERI: It's really cool! SYDNEY: Remember when we were kids and we used to dance to this all the time? CIARA: Totally! J.J.: It feels like I've been a kid forever. All o them laughed. Soon, the song was over. Wlll walked up to the microphone. WILL: Okay. Thanks for coming out here tonight! Everyone clapped. WILL: Don't worry, the night's still young, we're not closing up yet. I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for coming here tonight. You know, after the events of a week and a half ago, Sonny and I felt that we really needed this party. There were murmurs of agreement. Sydney and Ceri walked towards the front of the crowd. WILL: And, my little sister, Sydney, has just had a word with me, saying she'd like to make an announcement. Will handed the microphone to Sydney. She and Ceri walked up front. SYDNEY: Thanks, Will. Everyone clapped. SYDNEY: Hi, everyone. As you all know, I'm Sydney. And this is my girlfriend, Ceri Alamain. CERI: Hello, everyone. So, we have a little announcement to make. But, before we do, let's have a round of applause for Will and Sonny for making this party possible. Everyone clapped, and there were some cheers as well. CERI: So, Sydney and I met for the first time a few months after I first got to Salem, which was two and a half years ago now. SYDNEY: And, when I met Ceri, there was just something about her that felt right. I can't think of any other way to describe it, she just made me feel happy. And that was at a really rough point in my life. But, with the help of my family and Ceri, I was able to get through it, and I'm happier than ever now. CERI: I felt the same with Sydney. From the moment we met, something was there. Now here we are two and a half years later. Now, some of you already know about this, but we wanted to keep it a surprise until the party. Ceri and Sydney joined hands, and lifted them up into the air. SYDNEY: Ceri and I are engaged. There was a rousing round of cheers and applause from the audience. SYDNEY: So, back when we first started dating, we found that there was a song we both really liked... CERI: ...and we wanted to play it for you all now. So, grab yourself a partner and get ready to dance. They handed the microphone to the D.J. D.J.: All right. Congrats to Sydney and Ceri, and here is the song that they requested... Click to listen to the song. Everyone started dancing. Brady was off on the sidelines, watching. Billie walked up. BILLIE: Hey. BRADY: Hey. I didn't think you were gonna show up. BILLIE: Had to take care of some last minute Countess W business. Have I missed much? BRADY: Well, Sydney and Ceri announced their engagement. BILLIE: That's great! I'm sorry I missed that. BRADY: So, you're here. I'm here. Wanna dance? BILLIE: Sounds great to me. Brady took Billie's hand, and they danced. Over on another part of the beach, Sydney and Ceri were dancing. SYDNEY: I love you so much. CERI: I love you. The two of them kissed. Meanwhile, Brady and Billie continued dancing. They stared into each other's eyes. They saw something there in each other's eyes. So, they kept dancing, getting lost in each other's eyes. Then, just as the song began to fade out, Brady leaned in, and they kissed.
