It seemed like a tease to me. Maybe he realized that he shouldn't have given away so much information since there has been no official announcement yet. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Peter was also the first person to report that Shelley Hennig was leaving too and it was done in the same matter. I bet Lucas will ve the returning. They they haven't confirmed

I think that Marlena and John's return was finally in SOD or SOW in the current issue.
