I'm glad Philip confided in Victor. Philip needs someone to talk to.
I can see Victor saying all of those things to Philip. I'm glad Victor is allowing Philip the opportunity to get the DNA samples.
LOL at Victor hoping Henderson doesn't let Kate in.

Chapter 8
“Hello Henderson,” Kate said. “Is my son here?”
Maggie, who was just arriving home, came up behind Kate and pushed past her into the vestibule. “Which son, Kate? You have so many.” Then she nodded to Henderson. “I’ll take care of this, Henderson.”
“Very good, Mrs. Kiriakis,” Henderson said, leaving the two women alone.
“I will never get used to that.” Kate placed her purse on the credenza in the entryway.
“Get used to what?”
“Hearing people call you Mrs. Kiriakis. That used to be my name, you know. Somehow I think it suited me better.” Kate started walking toward the living room but Maggie blocked her path.
“What do you want, Kate?”
“Okay, I’ll tell you why I’m really here. I want to see Parker. I thought it would be nice to see Parker on neutral ground, since he’s here now instead of at Daniel’s apartment with Chloe.”
“And just what makes you think this is neutral territory,” Maggie asked, folding her arms in front of her chest.
“Oh. I see. Perhaps I was wrong. But Maggie, let me appeal to you as one grandmother to another....”
“Parker is not your grandson, Kate, remember?”
“Of course, I’m well aware of that, but we’re still both grandmothers. And I still love Parker as much as you do, even if he’s not related to me by blood.”
“Kate!” Victor reached the bottom of the staircase and put on one of his most insincere smiles. “So good to see you. Pray tell, to what do we owe the displeasure?”
“Victor, maybe I can appeal to you,” Kate said. “Your wife won’t let me see Parker. Surely you can understand how much it would mean to me to see him. And how much it would mean to him. He loves me just as much as he loves you.”
“Ah yes, but luckily he’s young and he’ll outgrow it like so many other childhood diseases.”
“Victor! Please!” Kate was growing exasperated by now. “Fine, if you won’t let me see Parker, at least tell Philip I’m here. You can’t keep me from my own son!”
“Relax Kate. Philip isn’t home. In fact, he’s taken Parker out for a while.”
Maggie turned and looked at Victor with surprise. “What?? Where did they go?”
“I don’t know,” Victor replied. “Out.”
“Oh my. Daniel won’t like this at all,” Maggie said, almost to herself.
“Don’t worry, dear. They’ll be back in a couple hours at most.” Victor looked at Kate. “It appears you came for nothing, Kate. So sorry you can’t stay.” He grasped her shoulder and turned her back toward the door, picking up her purse from the table. “Next time, call first.” He disregarded Kate’s protests, gave her the purse, opened the front door and, with gentle force, pushed her out.

I really enjoyed Victor and Kate's talk. Love Victor telling Kate that Parker will outgrow loving her like the other childhood diseases.
I'm glad Victor is helping Philip.

Glad Victor got rid of Kate but it sounds like Maggie might be an even bigger problem. Hopefully Phillip can get what he needs before she comes snooping around.

Chapter 9
Daniel came through the door of the Kiriakis mansion about an hour later and walked into the living room.
Maggie looked up from her magazine and took her eyeglasses off. “Daniel. Hello sweetheart.”
“Hi Mom,” Daniel said looking around. “Where’s the little tow-head? Where’s Parker? Napping?”
Maggie took a deep breath as she rose to her feet. “No.”
A concerned look crossed his face. “Then ... where ... is ... he?”
“He’s out right now.”
Daniel nodded slowly. “Victor take him to the park?”
“Not exactly,” Maggie answered wringing her hands.
“Mom, you’re starting to worry me. Where the hell is Parker?”
“Honey, please don’t get mad but ... he’s with Philip.”
“What??? Why?” Daniel took his cell phone out of his pocket in a panic. “How long have they been gone?” He dialed Philip’s phone number. “Voicemail. ... Philip, it’s Daniel. Call me the second you get this message, do you understand?”
Victor walked into the living room. “Daniel, what’s wrong?”
He stuffed his cell phone back into his pocket. “Was it you, Victor? Did you give Philip permission to take Parker out of this house.”
“As a matter of fact, I did.”
“Well don’t do it again. I don’t trust Philip.”
“Daniel,” Victor said calmly, “Philip loves Parker like a son. He wouldn’t let anything bad happen to the boy.”
“That’s not what I’m worried about!” Daniel shouted at Victor. “I’m worried he’ll never bring Parker home again!”
At that moment, Philip came down the stairs with Parker. “Hi honey, we’re home,” Philip said in an effort to ease the obvious tension in the room.
“Parker!” Daniel took Parker out of Philip’s arms roughly, and sat on the sofa putting Parker on his knee and examining him with his eyes and his hands. “You okay little man?” He looked at Philip. “Where were you?”
Philip looked at Victor, and Victor answered Daniel’s question. “What does it matter? They’re home now. See? All is well.”
Maggie eyed Victor and Philip with suspicion. “Daniel, Henderson has cookies and milk in the kitchen for Parker. Why don’t you ....”
Daniel got up from the sofa and set Parker on his feet. He took Parker by the hand. “Come on little man, let’s go get some milk and cookies.” Before leaving the room, Daniel glared at Philip and pointed a finger. “I have just two words for you. Never again. Is that understood?”
Philip’s body tensed, but he didn’t answer. He relaxed as soon as Daniel left the living room.
“Okay, out with it,” Maggie said. “What’s going on?”
“Going on? Why nothing,” Victor stated.
“Oh really? Daniel didn’t see Philip come down the stairs, but I did. Philip wasn’t out with Parker. He was upstairs.”
“Is that right?” Victor asked, trying to sound innocent.
“You know damn well it’s right,” Maggie answered, losing her patience bit by bit. “Why did you lie and say he took Parker out.”
Victor opened his mouth to say something, but Philip interceded. “It’s okay Dad. You don’t need to speak for me.” Philip took a step toward Maggie. “Maggie, listen, there’s nothing nefarious going on here. I promise you that.” He looked back at his father and then at Maggie again. “Dad knew I wanted to spend some quality time with Parker. I don’t get to do that anymore, so Dad was just giving me and Parker some time and space,” he said sincerely. “That’s all there is to it.”
“Hmmm.” Maggie stuck out her chin and avoided looking at Victor as she spoke to Philip. “I don’t like being lied to, Philip, especially by my husband. Don’t let it happen again.” Maggie turned and left the room.
“Sorry, Dad,” Philip said. “I hope she won’t stay mad at you.”
“I’ll handle Maggie, don’t worry. Did you do what you needed to do?”
Philip nodded. “Now I just need to go to the post office and mail in the tests.”

Chapter 10
Chloe sat in the little waiting room for the great and powerful, all-knowing, all-seeing Dr. Newman. This would be her second visit with Dr. Newman. She wondered if he could tell she didn’t much like him. There was something about him she didn’t trust. Ha. He would tell her that it was just a slight case of paranoia related to her PNES disorder. Everything got blamed on PNES.
He would ask her about her group therapy sessions. Should she lie and be a good little patient and tell him everything was beautiful? If that would get her out of The Oaks sooner, then that’s what she would do. But since Dr. Newman is so omniscient, he would probably know she was lying.
The truth is, Chloe hated group therapy. She’d already been to three sessions and it was more than enough. She hated listening to other people’s private problems. Drug addiction, gambling, money troubles, cheating, beating, overeating. Chloe knew they were nothing compared to her problems and she’d be damned if she shared herself with total strangers. Sitting in the waiting area outside Dr. Newman’s examining room, she chuckled imagining herself baring her soul in group counseling.
So I cheated on my husband with his daughter’s husband who coincidentally was my high school sweetheart. I got pregnant. Paternity tests were switched. My husband dumps me. My high school sweetheart’s mother (who was, incidentally, also my second husband’s mother because I married my high school sweetheart’s brother, but that’s not important) blackmailed me into prostitution. Oh did I mention about the postpartum depression and suicide attempt? Again, not important.
So I’m back together with my high school sweetheart who’s also the baby daddy. We’re all cozy and planning a wedding when the boom is lowered again and it turns out the original paternity test result was double-switched. So my ex-husband, who’s my third husband by the way -- oh and did I mention he’s a doctor? -- is really the baby daddy and we never needed to break up at all. You getting all this? So then, my fiancé who’s my first boyfriend dumps me too. Isn’t that hilarious you guys? Every time there’s a paternity change, I lose the guy. Crazy? I know. Get it?? Crazy!?!
Chloe shook her head in silence. She will never tell anyone here that story. They’d never believe it anyway.
She looked toward the door of the doctor’s office. She didn’t like the examinations any better than the therapy sessions. She didn’t like being poked and prodded. She was physically fine, anyone could see that. Couldn’t they?
At the end of her last exam, the doctor gave her two pills to take and he watched her swallow them. He didn’t tell her what they were, just that he wanted to see which drugs worked best.
She kept asking to speak to Philip and to get pictures of Parker for her room, but neither ever materialized. Dr. Newman would always say, maybe when you get better.
Thank goodness she had her memories to help her through the weeks and maybe even months to come. Right now, her fondest memory was one of the most recent. After her seizure on New Year's day, Philip came into her room and sat with her, held her hand, stroked her forehead, kissed her. Then he told her something amazing. He told her he loved her, just because she’s who she is. No strings, not because she's Parker's mother, nothing except Philip and Chloe, the way it was meant to be.
Before they learned about the paternity switch in November, they were living the dream. They had a wonderful life in the condo, they enjoyed each other, they enjoyed parenting Parker. Chloe accepted singing engagements here and there when her schedule allowed. But nothing was as important as her family. She had a real family finally. Life was about as ideal as it could be. Until Thanksgiving.
The last few months had torn her up. To have Philip turn his back on her for no reason. She had done nothing wrong, and yet he made her feel as if she had. She didn’t cheat on him. She had a baby with the man who was her husband at the time. It was what it was, and there was nothing she could do about that. It shouldn’t have changed anything between them, and yet it changed everything.
It warmed her heart when he told her he’d never give up on them. For so long, she thought he already did. But now there was hope again for them. “I will never give up on us,” he said that night in her hospital room. And Chloe would never forget those beautiful words for as long as she lives.
She thought about getting out of this place and re-establishing a life with Philip and Parker. It would be a little more complicated now with Daniel being Parker’s biological father, but they’d get through it. Chloe was certain of it. And it was those beliefs and those memories that Chloe held tight to. That’s what would help her get through this ordeal.
The door to Dr. Newman’s office opened and Chloe’s stomach did a flip-flop when the nurse waved her in. Here we go again, she thought.

I am telling you Chloe just needs to follow her own instincts because even though she believes that Daniel is her son Parker's father he really is not Parker's biological father after all and that Philip really is Parker's biological father after all and that the DNA tests were switched, tampered with and the mastermind behind it all was none other than E.J. DiMera and the reason he did it was to not only stick it to Philip because he still blames Philip for Tony's death but also he wants to stick it to Daniel too and why? Because Daniel helped Nicole to keep his son away from him and that son ended up dying so I could see why EJ did what he did but at the same time EJ essentially played God with other people's lives namely Chloe's first of all
But Chloe having PNES, I wonder if she is in a long-term care facility for her condition? If she is then I really wonder if she is in the nuthouse? That being if she is in a mental institution or in a sanitarium because then that would explain why Chloe isn't getting out any time soon because let's face it when she is really being herself when she is sane, she is perfectly normal but when she is out of her mind, when she is not herself she is insane and it looks like she isn't regaining her sanity any time soon
But here is hoping Philip finally has what he needs as far as taking a piece of Parker's DNA like for example his hair, and Philip taking a piece of his own DNA and comparing it against each other because maybe by doing that they can have another DNA test done and then we can all find out just if Philip really is Parker's father after all
But I wonder if they do this new test, who is to say that E.J. wouldn't tamper with it again to stick it to Philip and Daniel both? He's done it before who is to say he wouldn't do it again if he had the chance
But I could understand why Maggie is acting the way she is, because Daniel is her son and she believes Parker to be her grandson but the truth is he is not her grandson because Daniel is not his father, Philip is his biological father which means Maggie she would only be Parker's step-grandmother once the truth comes out and Kate she would be Parker's grandmother all over again this time biologically and Victor he would have Parker back as his grandson this time for good
I wonder once the truth the whole truth comes out and Maggie figures it out that Victor went above and beyond to help his son Philip, essentially in the process destroying her son Daniel I wonder if Maggie will be able to forgive Victor or even Philip for that matter? Lord knows what Daniel will do once the truth comes out and he finds out Parker is not his and that Parker was never his to begin with, I could see Daniel turning to the dark side
If he were to kidnap Parker especially if the truth were to come out, it would be understandable if Daniel were to take off with Parker especially if Daniel were to lose it, I mean his sanity and just take off with Parker then not only would it become a kidnapping case but the Salem PD would have to get involved and not to mention Philip would probably get his "people" on Daniel

Better yet, Philip even though he has Parker now for a son, he has another son in case we have all forgotten, his son with Mimi Lockhart, the son he threw away like garbage, the son he could not be bothered with, his oldest son Tyler Kiriakis who he and Mimi gave up for adoption essentially
How about Tyler? Did Philip even give a damn about him or does he even give a damn about Tyler because if he did then he would have been a father to Tyler rather than giving him to strangers
I wonder just how Tyler will factor into Philip's eventual family with Chloe if he even will? Because I am just being honest here

Poor Chloe. She doesn't trust the doctor and has to go to group therapy. I'm glad she knows that Philip still loves her.
