So I finally got to work on my *ahem* PHOTOgraphy the other day and thought I would share some. And here is a link to my album that has lots more in it. I am FAR from a professional. This is all with a normal point and shoot camera and some editing software I have. I am learning how to do more. I do a lot of my kids pictures too, but I don't have those uploaded yet. I am going to be doing my sister-in-law's senior pictures this summer so that should be interesting. If anyone has any tips, they are much appreciated!! s138.photobucket.com/albums/q270/amymahaffy/Photography/

Not a professional?!?! Are you kidding me?? Those are AWESOME!!!!! I would love to have some of those as art in my house!
I'm very partial to black and white photography. Landscape, buildings, people - it doesn't matter to me.
Great work though!

Thanks! I love black and white too but I am trying to force myself into the realm of color. I took a photography class in college and it was all in black and white film and we got to develop it ourselves in the dark room. It was awesome. I loved it. I wish my prints from that were smaller so I could scan them and post them.

Wow, very impressive Mrs. M.
When we were little, my father's hobby was photography (I should say, when my older sister was little because by the time I came along, he was less interested in photography as you can tell by the zillion pix of my sister and the 2 pix of me.) Dad would take b&w pictures and develop them in a darkroom, and Mom would colorize them (actually use special paint).

Thanks! That is so cool kpatch! I would love to use film but it is a dying trend, hard to find and I have nowhere to set up a dark room. I really want to take a digital photography class and relearn all the basics again. I would love to get a better camera that I can better manipulate the settings, but that just isn't in the budget right now.

Great Photos - Thanks for sharing them! I do have a question though, why did you empasize PHOTO so strongly? (LOL, I know the answer).

^^ Kazz, it's because some of us need our ... um ... eyes examined. Or we read too quickly. We thought Mrs. M might have quite a different hobby while her hubby is away. LOL.

Wow, MrsM!! Fantastic stuff! When I retire (or win the lotto - whichever comes first), that's what I want to do with my free time...

I love doing it. I can't wait to be able to get out and take some more pictures. I am excited to do my sister-in-law's senior pictures because we are going to the Upper Peninsula to do them and I will be able to get some absolutely beautiful pictures while I am up there.
