Chapter 10
OUTSIDE BO & HOPE'S HOUSE
All of the kids had walked from the Auditorium to the backyard of Bo and Hope's house. They were thinking about what they had said to Zack, and how horrible they'd been to him earlier that day. They were also thinking about what J.T. had said earlier that day.
AUDITORIUM - FLASHBACKJ.T.: "...for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord..."
OUTSIDE BO & HOPE'S HOUSE
J.T.: I never thought it was such a bad little tree.
JOHNNY: It's not bad at all, really.
SYDNEY: Maybe it just needs a little love.
Everyone nodded in agreement. Sydney went into Pookie's doghouse, brought out a blanket, and wrapped it around the bottom of the tree. Everyone started taking the decorations off of the doghouse and putting them on the tree. Soon, the tree went back into its correct shape and even started to grow a bit. It looked more like a proper Christmas tree.
ALLIE: You know, Zack Brady may be a blockhead sometimes, but he did pick out a nice tree.
Everyone started humming an old Christmas carol. After a moment or so of this, Zack walked out.
ZACK: What is going on here?
Zack stared in amazement at the beautiful looking tree. Then, he turned back to everyone who was standing there.
ALL (except Zack): Merry Christmas, Zack Brady!!!
ALL (singing): Silent night, holy night. All is calm, all is bright. 'Round yon virgin, mother and child. Holy infant, so tender and mild. Sleep in heavenly peace. Sleep in heavenly peace.
Everyone continued singing late into the night. They had a wonderful time. Each of them agreed that it was a really great Christmas. Then, they looked out to the audience.
JOHNNY: Thank you all so much for taking the time to read this year's Christmas story.
ALLIE: We hope you've enjoyed reading it as much as we enjoyed making it.
ZACK: From our family to yours...
ALL CAST: Have a very Merry Christmas, MyHourglass Forums!
