Thanks Kpatch. I just know a great writer when I read one. Thanks for the previews. Can't wait to see Philip and Chloe going into action to find their son. Should be fun to see Victor going after them. Hmmm Chloe and Philip grow closer. Will have to wait and see if I become a fan of this couple as well.

Victor: Why so glum, Kate?
Kate: I’m worried about Parker.
Victor: Wesley.
Kate: I’ve put my own grandson in the arms of my arch enemy. There’s something unsettling about that.
Victor: I disagree. If anyone other than Vivian were caring for the baby, I’d worry far more about him. In her own warped way, Vivian loves him as much as we do. She’s his family.
Kate: Ha!
Victor: Well, she considers Parker ... I mean Wesley ... her family. She’ll protect him with her life and she feels just as strongly about keeping Chloe away from Philip and Wesley as we do.
Kate: I suppose you’re right. ... Oh! I almost forgot to tell you. I had the oddest conversation with Melanie.
Victor: That statement seems redundant.
Kate: You know what a chatterbox she tends to be? Well she hardly said anything. It was as if I were speaking a foreign language.
Victor: Do you think she was hiding something?
Kate: Sadly, I do.
Victor: Hmm. Well, your instincts are usually impeccable. Why don’t you see what you can find out from Philip.
Kate: I tried calling him. Marie says he’s away on business. Is that true?
Victor: Not to my knowledge. And you’re saying that Melanie didn’t mention that?
Kate: No. This all seems very odd.
Victor: Indeed it does.
BACK AT THE WEST END APARTMENT
Chloe: Do you think one hundred dollars was enough of a bribe?
Philip: Heck yeah. This is a poor Caribbean nation, Chloe. The average annual income is $5,000. Mrs. Jones understands that there’s more where that came from if she gives us information that helps us find Wesley.
Chloe: I hope you’re right.
Philip: Don’t be discouraged, Chloe. I have a feeling we’ll be hearing from Mrs. Jones.
Chloe: I wish I was as optimistic as you are. ... Um. Philip, in the hospital today, you called me “sweetie.”
Philip: I’m sorry. Is that what Daniel called you?
Chloe: No, it’s what you ... it just made me wonder if ...
Philip: If what?
Chloe: If you feel the same way about me as I do about you.

OMG. Where is Philip's answer. I have looked high and low, but can't find it. Ohhh shoot it is the end of the chapter. Thanks Kpatch. Love that Kate is starting to think that something is wrong. I don't blame her for worring about leaving Parker with Vivian. Looking forward to tomorrow and hopefully Philip's answer to Chloe.

Philip: Of course I do. You’re one of my oldest and best friends.
Chloe: Just friends?
Chloe takes a step toward Philip and he takes a step back.
Philip: Sure. Friends.
Chloe: Oh.
Philip: Look, Chloe, I know life hasn’t been kind to you lately. But now that we know Wes is alive, I’m sure you and Daniel will get back together once we bring the baby home.
Chloe: I don’t think so.
Philip: Well don’t give up. Anything’s possible.
Chloe: I haven’t given up.
Chloe looks deep into Philip’s eyes searching for something. He gets uncomfortable and breaks the gaze.
Philip: We’d better get some sleep. You take the bedroom. I’ll sleep here on the couch.
Chloe: Are you sure? I don’t mind sharing.
Philip: Melanie would kill me if she thought we were sharing a bedroom. I’ll sleep out here. Good night Chloe.
Chloe: Good night Philip.
KIRIAKIS MANSION
Victor: It’s confirmed. Philip is out of the country.
Kate: So is Chloe. You don’t think …
Victor: Wait. There’s more.
