Faking an accent... What a dastardly character that would be...!!!! Someone said awhile back that Quinn was brought on to be worse than EJ so they could redeem him......at least EJ didn't fake an accent...!!!! Maybe it's working...!!!

Hmmm. How the heck will this play out? Will we even get an explanation as to how he is Vivian's son?

LOL. I didn't realize people can be unaccented. That's hilarious. Robert pattinson from twilight has a thick British accent. He has no accent in twilight. I'm sure you hear it sometimes, but he dropped it for the role.

Hmmm. How the heck will this play out? Will we even get an explanation as to how he is Vivian's son? My guess is NO. We never found out anything about Nathan's Dad. What if Quinn's Dad is Stefano or Victor? I don't know if Vivian knew either of them back then but why should that stop TPTB. I think Quinn seems a little old to be Nicholas but again why would TPTB care about that. I wish we could have Victor Webster's Nicholas back. He and Nadia would be smokin' hot together!!

Wouldn't it be hilarious if Quinn was Victor's son? That would really stick in his craw if Quinn turns out to not be such a bad guy.

I'm sure you hear it sometimes, but he dropped it for the role. Oh, I've heard of actors adopting a different accent for a role (Hugh Laurie in House), but I don't think we've had a character do it. I guess it isn't all that inconceivable. Reality is very fluid in Salem.

Didn't you see the news story about the woman who had dental surgery and now claims she has an accent?? I actually heard of another case of this a few years ago... its rare and supposedly real LOL... something along the lines of we store all these accents in our brains but don't use them.... I can't remember the name of the disorder though....

Quinn being Vivian's son is just asinine and is further proof of how incredibly fire-worthy this writing regime was. The only two ways I can think of that would actually make this interesting are the following: 1. Quinn is actually Nicholas who Vivian always thought of as her "son". They could say he ended up going to college in Australia, hence the accent. Plus with him being involved in drugs, prostitution, and just being an overall creepy scum bucket, I could buy that he is Lawrence's son. OR 2. Quinn is the result of one of the leftover embryo's from when Vivian stole Kate and Victor's and had Philip and therefore he is Philip's brother. (He can either be Vivian and Victor's or Kate and Victor's) The problem with this theory is what is happening (or about to happen) onscreen right now with this whole prostitution thing. If they were going to go this route it could have been very interesting if no one knew he was Victor's son and Philip's brother and he was working against them to help Chloe get her son back and possibly get revenge on Victor/Kate in the process. This could have been an interesting twist to the story that could have eventually brought back Philip (JKJ or recast) to fight his brother for Chloe. But, I'm pretty sure they're not going to go with either of those scenarios so it's just more drivel from Dena and Co that the new writers will have to clean up.
