I read that Lauren (Kate)'s husband Nicky Schillace (sp) is now the head of the makeup dept at Days. He has pictures of the remodeling of the makeup dept. on FB. He said changes will be made slowly. I think there is also a new wardrobe head. Sounds like more money is being put into the show.

Thanks kathyj, that's interesting info. I didn't even know Lauren was married. Her makeup always looks perfect so if that's any indication then it's a good thing. I'm glad to hear it sounds like Days might be upgrading some things and maybe investing a little more in the show.

I noticed last week that they showed Abby's room for the first time (at least that I know of). Maybe they will upgrade the sets a little bit too. Will, Sonny and Gabi's new place is much better than Will's little studio or whatever it was.

Question from the fashion challenged, esp. men's fashions, is that some well known brand of shirt Daniel is wearing where they put some type of logo on the back of the shoulder. I just kept noticing it and thought it was kind of odd. Anyone know?

I kept noticing that too. I found it distracting.

I didn't care for the pattern on Nicole's dress. I did like the style on her.

I noticed the logo on the back too, and wondered if it were maybe an errant thread.

And yes, Nicole's dress is awful. It may be pretty in person, but the pattern is too busy for TV.

I liked the dress & how Nicole looked in it. It made her look so pretty!

I really liked Jen's dress today, especially for Independence Day. Also, as I said in another thread, I think they've changed the color of Kate Mansi's hair a bit and it looks more natural. I like it much better.

I liked Jennifer's dress too. Very appropriate for a 4th of July picnic.

I thought Gabi looked particularly gorgeous today. She's always beautiful, but she looked better. Maybe the color red suits her, although she did seem a little overdressed, a little formal for a summer picnic.

I know this is late but I thought Kristian Alfonso looked gorgeous in her police uniform.

I completely agree villa281. She looked very glamourous. The color worked well for her.

I really liked Kayla's new hairstyle. She looked younger somehow and her makeup was done very nicely on Monday.

Hated Sami's dress. Made her look like she's 8 years old. The color was great for her, but not the style, in my opinion.
