DAYS Casting Two New Roles

DAYS has put out a casting call for two contract roles: Ben, who is in his early to mid 20s, is described as a gorgeous, Caucasian country boy, either midwestern or Southern. He is "utterly charming in his honest sincere approach to life and love." The show would ideally like to find someone who plays a guitar and asks potential candidates to indicate if they can sing or play an instrument. The second character is Sabrina, a 17 to 18-year-old gorgeous Caucasian female who is a shy, quiet innocent with a heart of gold.

If JJ's gonna stick around, I'd think they will eventually want a crush for him and there doesn't seem to be anyone else his age around now. It seems like it would be weird to have them show up and get together if they are both new.

I was going to say maybe the guy would be another one of Justin and Adrienne's boys but the country boy thing doesn't seem to go with their kids.

Doesn't it seem like there are often these casting calls, and then nothing comes of it, meaning we hear bits and pieces about storylines, but then it never comes to pass?

I wonder if Sabrina is code name for Jeannie Donovan? The Sabrina character has to be for JJ. Ben could be code name for one of Justin and Adrienne's sons.

Sabrina has to be for JJ since he and his stoner pal are the only teens in Salem.

I just hope the guy is cute. JJ is utterly disappointing. And a shy girl with a heart of gold?? YAWN Why can't Days create characters with dynamic interesting personalities? Shy girls only work with dynamic guys...and those are very lacking in Salem.

And isn't the show a little late casting these teens...summer is here. Teen storylines are for summer. Come on now Days.

Re: the shy girl with a heart of gold. If she's for JJ it's probably because they're going to have her be the good girl that makes the bad boy want to be better. They do that a lot. Phillip and Chloe were pretty much like that and they are my favorite couple. We'll see what they do.

Philip totally carried Phloe IMO he had all the personality...so JJ needs to be stepped up big time to sell something like that. I personally prefer my heroines to be spunky bad girls or just plain spunky (bad not necessary). I just like characters that DO things versus have things done to them.
