Poor Philip. He is devastated. I wish he'd let Chloe be there for him. They need each other to get through this.

Noooooo I hate DOOL for doing this they make me sick! The only reason I'm not trying to get the damn show canceled is because it would mean firing all the cast and crew and they don't deserve that! But Kpatch you are amazing please continue with this story!

I am not liking the way that Philip is acting. Poor Parker has no idea what is happening, but he must see that things are not the same. Yes Parker is not his son my blood, but it does not mean that he has to turn his back on him. It makes he no better then EJ and the way he treated Sydney when he thought she was not his. Thanks for the chapter Kpatch.

I think Philip's reactions are dead on. I think he and EJ share a number of similarities. Just Philip is inwardly destructive and EJ is outwardly.
Kpatch you tricking me lady...making me read a phloe story when you know I don't read phloe while writing phloe. And too late for me to stop reading now the story is too good.

Chapter 8
Philip went into the guest bedroom and laid down on the bed. He stayed there for three days and three nights. Chloe tried to get him to eat something, to talk to her, to say anything at all. But the only one he would speak to was Parker.
Parker came into the room regularly and climbed onto the bed. He often brought a toy which he and Philip would play with.
Every time Parker called him “Daddy,” Philip’s heart clenched. It seemed impossible that this boy wasn’t his flesh and blood. He felt so close to this child. He knew everything there was to know about him, and he couldn’t love him more.
But whenever Chloe came into the bedroom, it was a different story. She kneeled beside Philip in the bed. She stroked his hair but he pushed her hand away.
Finally, on the fourth day, Chloe entered the bedroom one morning and tried again. “Philip, please. I wish you’d talk to me. I know you’re going through an awful time, but you can’t just shut me out like this. I want to help you but ... I don’t know what to say ... or what to do for you.”
Philip mumbled the first words he’d said to Chloe in days. “You can leave me alone.”
Chloe was quiet for several minutes but she didn’t leave. There was something she needed to say, no matter how difficult it was for Philip to hear. “Okay. Okay, I’ll leave you alone. But there’s something important we need to discuss. I don’t know a gentle way to say this, so I’ll just come out and say it. Philip, we need to tell Daniel. I mean, it’s only right. You know? He has a right to know that Parker is his son.”
Philip snapped at her. “Then go tell him!”
Chloe flinched as if her face had been slapped. She had a lump in her throat that she couldn’t just swallow away. She hadn’t felt this sick to her stomach since Daniel told her they were through and he wanted her out of the apartment, her and Parker both.
She never in a million years thought Philip would treat her the same way Daniel had. But he just did.
To be continued ...

Why is he pushing her away? I know he is upset, but this isn't all her fault.

I feel the same way as MrsM, this is not Chloe's fault and Philip is being very immature. I understand he is hurt but it is like a child that can't play with a toy. He can't keep just ignoring the truth and better to deal with it instead. Maybe Parker isn't his son, but that doesn't mean Chloe can't still be with him and he could still be Parker's stepdad.. He can still be a large part of his life.

I have said the same thing SG. I see a bit of EJ in Philip. If the child is not his by blood he does not want the child. EJ and Daniel did the the same thing. I feel bad for Parker more then Philip at the moment. Parker knows something is wrong Dad is not the same, but not understand the why of it. His life is also shattered but unlike Philip he has no say about it. Chloe did at least try.

I gotta a feeling Philip blames Chloe for Parker not being his! It really wasn't her fault maybe she could've been more careful about sleeping around so quickly. But both her AND Philip have made mistakes when it comes to who they jump in bed with! I can't wait to read MORE!

Daniel didn't try with Parker because 1 - he was not willing to try with Chloe. He was hurt and wanted out. A reasonable decision considering what she did. 2 - It is easier to make a clean break from a baby before becoming too attached. That's what Daniel was attempting to do. 3 - Parker was young and his world was about to get turned upside down, having two fathers would not have helped. Especially two fathers that don't like each other.
I see nothing wrong with Daniel's choices. And EJ's reactions were realistic as well. Most men are not willing to father a child that is not their own.
Philip just found out about Parker. He needs time to process it all. But Philip is a rare type of man that could get past the biology and raise a baby that wasn't his own flesh and blood. He was more than willing to do it with Claire back in the day. I think the man just needs time.

I feel so bad for Chloe. Philip won't even talk to her. This has to be breaking her heart too.
I hope Philip will be able to work through his feelings of loss. He needs to see that it doesn't have to ruin his life.
Poor Parker he must be wondering what is going on.
