I really love how Mel is there for Philip. So glad that Daniel and Philip got it out in the open. Maybe now they can do what is best for Parker.

I agree that Daniel handled it pretty well but of course, it's easy to be the bigger person when you come out on top. Phillip's emotions are still raw and he's in a lot of pain. He has basically lost his whole world as far as he's concerned. He does need to realize that Parker comes first and I think he will. That's wha he was already trying to do by staying away.
I can't wait to see the exchange between Chloe and Phillip. Missy needs to explain herself.

I'm glad Daniel and Philip were able to talk alone. Philip needed to say those things to Daniel. I have a feeling this is only the beginning of tense interactions at this dinner party.

Loved Daniel...big of him to approach Philip. I could sense the tension and pain on both sides. So glad you had Daniel bring up the past and the cheating an the lies, because Philip needed that reminder that there is pain to spare for them all.

Chapter 22, Part 1
More than a dozen people were seated around the dinner table: Maggie, Victor, Brady, Daniel, Chloe, Parker, Lucas, Jennifer, Abigail, Hope, Ciara, Philip, and Melanie. But most of them were in their own little worlds, thinking their own thoughts and finding the gathering a tad awkward.
Victor took his cues from Maggie as the hosts did their best to keep the conversation light and bright. Hope and Brady did their best to help, but angry stares and stolen glances proved more commonplace than friendly small talk.
Philip could hardly take his eyes off Parker who was seated across the table in between Daniel and Chloe. But every so often, his gaze would drift to Chloe, and now and then her eyes met his. He thought she looked at him as if he were a stranger, as if the past year and a half they spent together in Chicago didn’t exist, as if the history they shared and the future they planned had vanished into thin air. Maybe Melanie, Nicole, and Jennifer were right. Maybe this isn’t the Chloe he knew and loved. When she pulled Parker away from him earlier, she didn’t seem to care about his feelings at all.
Melanie noticed that Philip’s jaw was clenched, so she placed her hand over Philip’s to help keep him calm. Then she leaned over and told him a little joke. He chuckled and smiled at her.
“What are you two whispering about?” Chloe demanded from across the table.
Melanie slowly and deliberately turned her eyes toward Chloe. “Excuse me. Are you talking to us?”
“You bet I am,” Chloe spat. “Didn’t your parents teach you that it’s not nice to tell secrets?”
The rest of the diners were trying to ignore the ugly scene that was brewing, but like any approaching train wreck, it was too hard to look away.
“My parents?” Melanie said. “Even without my parents raising me, I have better manners than you do!”
“Oh really?” Chloe shot back. “Then why don’t you tell everyone what you and Philip are whispering about.”
“It’s none of your business, Chloe.” Melanie turned her head away from Chloe.
“Ladies,” Daniel interceded, “please don’t argue with each other, not here.”
Jennifer jumped on the bandwagon. “No Daniel, let them finish. This could be really good.”
“Oh shut up,” Chloe lashed out at Jennifer.
“Chloe!” Daniel got up from the table and grasped Chloe’s arm. “I’d like to talk to you. In private.”
“Daniel, wait,” Philip addressed Daniel directly for the first time, then he turned to Chloe. “If you want to know what the whispering was about, I’ll tell you.” Philip looked at Melanie. “Look, Melanie realizes that this is an awkward situation for me, and she was just trying to ease the tension.” He looked back at Chloe. “That’s all. No big secret.”
“I see,” Chloe said skeptically. “So has Melanie been easing your tension ever since I left Chicago?” she asked, hooking her fingers in the shape of air quotes when she said the word “easing.”
“That’s enough!” Daniel pulled Chloe out of her chair, but Chloe pulled her arm away from him.
She turned her attention back to Philip. “Answer me Philip. I deserve to know what you’ve been doing since I left.”
To be continued Monday...

Chloe has some nerve. She gave up her right to know what Phillip has been up to since she and Parker left!!

I think I got the whispering quote correct.

Chloe has some nerve. She gave up her right to know what Phillip has been up to since she and Parker left!! She didn't just pick up and leave though. Phillip pretty much shut down and pushed her away. She is acting like a jerk but of course it's all out of jealousy (and maybe a little crazy). I KNOW she still loves Phillip and has just been trying to create a new life since he pushed her and Parker away. Phillip and Chloe need to talk to each other ALONE. Maybe next week???

I am so hoping that Philip and Chloe do not get back together. I am really hating Chloe now. She has no right to know anything about Philip now. I know that Philip shut her out, but she took the easy way and left with Parker. She even was evil in trying to get Daniel back. Thanks for the great chapter Kpatch.

1- Melanie is a far better woman than me being able to be around Philip at all, let alone Chloe. They cheated and destroyed marriages then ended up together in less than 2 years, so much for their assurances that their fling meant nothing. Getting together just rubs Daniel and Melanie's nose in it. I can't believe Mel is even talking to him.
2- And for Chloe to sit there and openly be jealous in front of the man she betrayed and the woman whose husband she stole...she has unbelievable nerve. If I were Melanie I would've lost it. I probably would have needed to be restrained.

I know Chloe is acting like a paranoid witch right now but I'm not giving up on her yet. There is going to be a good explanation for this. The Days writers may have thrown Chloe under the bus but I have faith that Kpatch will do much better.

Chloe didn't leave. She was taken to Salem and dropped off. Had to be pretty heartbreaking considering she didn't do anything to deserve it.
I can hardly wait to see what happens next.

Chloe loved Philip even though he dumped her, threw her away. Of course she still loves him, she just doesn't think he wants her. Now she is wondering why he dumps her for Melanie. Of course she is jealous. Melanie I am sure loves that she is making Chloe act this way.
