Ooh thanks for the new thread jaysfan. In my current fic, In Love and War, Philip is a soldier during WWII. He's 22 and a Private, so wouldn't be decked out quite this fancy, but I picture him around this time/age.

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but what was Philip's rank? I'm baffled by his uniform because it looks like he has a leaf on his shoulder, which would signify he is a major. That is not remotely possible given his service history.
