Can you smell it? That sweet, sweaty smell means it's time for more All-Stars on Dancing with the Staarrrrrrssss!!!!!Opening number? I spy with my little eye an a mega-sexy tattooed Irishman. Can you spot him? Apolo and Karina (CHA CHA/PASO) – These are actually two dances that SHOULD go really well together. While the emotion might be different, the timing isn't really all that far off. Just FYI. And it turned out to be a pretty decent combo. Once Apolo ripped his jacket off (YUMMY!!) I admit I got a little distracted. I mean, I know he's 5'Nothing” but that little dude is packing some serious guns. You go boy!!! The routine, itself, was interesting. I think it was a fun combination of both styles and each style stood out (the Cha Cha parts were clearly Cha Cha and same with Paso). His hip action was decent and his lead was confident. They seemed to trip up a little on her skirt, but whatever. I liked it. Kudos to those muscles!!! MY SCORE: 9.5 JUDGES SCORE: 9, 9, 9 = 27Emmitt and Cheryl (SAMBA/RUMBA) – Ok. These don't go together AT ALL. I'm really looking forward to see how Cheryl makes this work. I could not think of one single song that could possibly combine these two styles, but darn it, this one did. And it worked! I really liked how it all came together. Emmitt, on the other hand, vanished behind the pink swirl of Cheryl's BLATANT back leading. I mean, come on! At least TRY to make it look like he's leading. Geez!!! The decent score I'm giving is because the routine worked, but I'm deducting a good bit for lack of skill. This back leading nonsense has to end. Cheryl must be stopped!!! MY SCORE: 8 JUDGES SCORE: 8.5, 9.5, 9.5 = 27.5Kirstie and Maks (QUICKSTEP/SAMBA) – Talk about styles that do NOT mesh!!! Yikes!!! But, dang it, they did it again! It totally works. I'm shaking my head in disbelief, but yeah, it works. Granted it was more like a LeisurelyStep (not so much Quick), but it was a pretty decent Samba and they did well. A few missteps here and there, but nothing so big that they'd get really low scores (at least from me). Can we talk a minute about how hot Prince Maks is??? Yummy!!! MY SCORE: 8.5 JUDGES SCORE: 8, 8, 8 = 24Kelly and Val (CHA CHA/FOXTROT) – Hmm. This one didn't fuse so well for me. I just didn't hear Cha Cha in that music at all. I know they can't control that, but it just didn't fit for me. The Foxtrot part was great – and fit the music to a T. But the Cha Cha seemed forced. I dunno. I just wasn't feeling it. MY SCORE: 8 JUDGES SCORE: 9, 9, 9 = 27Melissa and Tony (TANGO/CHA CHA) – Another perfect match. These two are combined all the dang time! It's super easy. Yes, they are different styles and require different technique, but it's super easy to combine the timings. Yet, some of the transitions were rather rough and the whole routine just felt frantic to me. Melissa is STILL not connecting with the floor and she dances too high. “What on Earth does that mean???” She's not pushing into the floor with her feet to get the movement she needs. You don't float across the floor in Ballroom like you would in Ballet. She's still too much of a ballerina. Argh. MY SCORE: 9 JUDGES SCORE: 10, 9.5, 9.5 = 29Shawn and Derek/Mark (TANGO/PASO) – Derek announced last week he had a neck injury so Shawn is (supposed to be) dancing with Mark. But if Derek is ok, she'll dance with Derek. But Derek wasn't cleared to dance, so she's dancing with Mark. Got that? Good. It was hard to tell from the rehearsal package who did the choreography, but whoever did it did great. Tango and Paso are super easy to fuse together and this routine was fantastic. I could have sworn the announcer said it was a Tango/Foxtrot combo so I was super confused all the way through. But then it was made clear that it was a Tango/Paso and then it made a whole lot more sense. Great job, who ever is responsible for it. MY SCORE: 10 JUDGES SCORE: 10, 10, 10 = 30Gilles and Peta (ARGENTINE TANGO/SAMBA) – Huh? How do these combine??? Think about jumping from a drunken, wild party to a quiet seduction. That's quite a transition. I don't envy Peta at all. I seriously don't think I could choreograph this. Bonus in the rehearsal package – shirtless Gilles!!! Ooooh!!! Ok, now to the dancing. That was AWESOME!!! I'd say it was probably about 70% Arg. Tango and 30% Samba, but it totally was working for me. Gilles+ Argentine Tango = 10 all the way!!! Can I give an 11? MY SCORE: 10 JUDGES SCORE: 9.5, 9.5, 9.5 = 28.5 <---WHAT??? Swing Marathon – (7th) Kirstie and Maks +4 (6th) Gilles and Peta +5 (5th) Apolo and Karina +6 (4th) Emmitt and Cheryl +7 (3rd) Shawn and Mark +8 (2nd) Kelly and Val +9 (1st) Melissa and Tony +10 My Leader Board.........................................Judges Leader BoardGilles.........10....................................................Melissa.........29 + 10 = 39 Shawn........10....................................................Shawn..........30 + 8 = 38 Apolo..........9.5..................................................Kelly.............27 + 9 = 36 Melissa........9.....................................................Emmitt.........27.5 + 7 = 34.5 Kirstie.........8.5...................................................Gilles...........28.5 + 5 = 33.5 Emmitt........8......................................................Apolo...........27 + 6 = 33 Kelly...........8.......................................................Kirstie.........27.5 + 7 = 34.5

DD, I just KNEW you you point out Melissa's ballerina tendencies. Even I could see it. Gilles, PERFECTION. The dance and his body. The dance was hot!!!! Argh, I hate watching Mark Ballas. I sure hope Derek is cleared to dance next week. Apolo reminds me of an ex boyfriend so watching him dance (and finally get shirtless) gives me all kinds of distracting thoughts. Emmitt and Cheryl, I like how they fused it but at the same time I felt like I was getting whiplash from all the transitions.

Reminder: due to election night coverage, there is no result show Tuesday and no elimination. There will be a double elimination next week, and the week after that.

Apolo- Hotness!!!! Emmitt- Eh. It did work though. Maks- He is the new Lord Hotness Sigh. Kelly- Was it just me or were her legs really awkward? It was just a strange dance. Melissa- Ugh I am so conflicted because I love Tony and his choreography but I can't stand her and the way she dances. She is more suited to being a cheerleader than a ballroom dancer. I get it, you can do the splits. Show me something new. Shawn- That was really good. Even though she won her season I don't think she was the best dancer then but she really has improved. Gilles- HOLY FREAKING HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The dance marathon was just dumb.
