Chapter 18 SYDNEY'S BEDROOM CERI: Feeling better? SYDNEY: A lot. I've been talking to Dr. Adamson and she's put me on some new meds. Plus, I've always got you. And, talking to you always makes me feel better. CERI: I'm glad to hear that. So, what do you wanna do? SYDNEY; I was wondering, would you be open to...trying that thing that we did a few weeks ago again? CERI: Are you up to it? SYDNEY; I think so. CERI: Okay. Well, if you get uncomfortable again, let me know. SYDNEY: I will. I promise. Ceri and Sydney started kissing. SYDNEY: i love you. CERI: I love you. The two laid down on the bed in the room and the passion began. OUTSIDE THE BRADY HOUSE Claire was in shock. She didn't know what to say. She didn't know what to do. SHAWN-D: Girls, get back in the car. Go on your trip. We'll talk about this soon, I promise. CLAIRE: I... SHAWN-D: Please. Just go. Ciara took Claire's hand. CIARA: Come on. I'll drive. Slowly, Ciara walked Claire over to the car. Claire sat down in the passenger's seat. Ciara got into the driver's seat. Jan got out of the way, and the car backed out of the driveway. JAN: Where exactly is my daughter going, Shawn? BELLE: Jan, you're crazy! Claire is my daughter! Everybody knows that! You weren't even around by the time I got pregnant with Claire! You were in a coma. JAN: Well, that's convienent, isn't it? I just happened to be in a coma at the same time as you got pregnant with Claire. Didn't you ever wonder why you weren't a blood match and couldn't help Claire when she was sick? BELLE: Well... Jan smiled. JAN: Back when Shawn and I were together, for that one glorious summer, when he was all mine and didn't we have to worry about you, he and I made love. Well, I ended up getting pregnant. But, when Mimi attacked me, the doctors were afraid that I would lose the baby. Belle here was having a check-up at that same time. That creepy doctor of Stefano's was there. He took the still growing baby out of me, drugged Belle, and inserted the baby into her. Then, a few months later, Belle gave birth to my baby! Shauna Jan Brady. BELLE: That's impossible! JAN: Is it? It's been done before. i guess it's true what they say. True love really does conquer all. |

Chapter 19 OUTSIDE THE BRADY HOUSE SHAWN-D: We're having a maternity test done. HOPE; A what? JAN: Shawn, there's no such thing. SHAWN-D: They can tell a baby's paternity just from doing a simple test. Surely, they can do the same thing to figure out a baby's maternity. JAN: Don't call me Shirley. And fine. You don't have to believe me. I'm used to people thinking that I'm crazy. Heck, I probably am crazy. But, if you want to maternity test, fine. Let's go. Anything that will show you the truth is all the better, in my opinion. And the truth, Shawn, is that we belong together. SYDNEY'S BEDROOM Sydney and Ceri were lying on the bed, their arms wrapped around each other. Both's breathing was slightly heavy. SYDNEY: That was...amazing. CERI: i know. SYDNEY: I don't think I've ever felt like that before. CERI: me either. Sydney and Ceri kissed. SYDNEY: You're amazing. CERI: So are you. I just wish you saw yourself the way I do. You okay? SYDNEY: For once, I actually think I am. Besides, I'm with you, nothing could be more perfect. Ceri kissed Sydney again and got up. She went over to the bathroom and got a small cup of water. CERI: Want some water. SYDNEY: Sure. Ceri got another cup out, filled it, and gave it to Sydney. SYDNEY: Thanks. Ceri? CERI: Yeah? SYDNEY: Thanks for everything. I love you. CERI: I love you. And, you're welcome. We'll always be here for each other. SYDNEY: Always. Sydney and Ceri kissed again. CAR The first bit of Claire and Ciara's car trip was silent. After a little while, Ciara finally broke the silence. CIARA: You okay? Claire shook her head. CIARA: That was really weird, what happened right before we left. CLAIRE: Yeah. CIARA: Look, Shawn and my parents have told me about Jan Spears before. And, from what I've heard, she's dillusional and super crazy. CLAIRE: What if she's not, though, Ci? What if she really is my mother? |

Chapter 20 SALEM PLACE Jan was taking a look at the newly rebuilt Salem Place. It was similar to how it had been in the old days. Morgan was also walking there, and saw her. MORGAN: No way. Jan Spears? JAN: Do I know you? MORGAN: No, but I've heard everything about you. You are Salem High legend. You were my idol back when I was a kid. JAN: Um...thanks. Who are you? MORGAN: Morgan Hollingsworth. I'm a substitute teacher over at Salem High. And I have a proposition for you, sugar. SALEM UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL Belle was getting some blood drawn for her maternity test. She was sat behind a current. Shawn-D was sitting on the other side. SHAWN: I don't know how this happened. BELLE: Shawn, there can't be any truth to what she's saying. Can there? THE LOVE CAGE
Jan, in a sexy maid outfit walked into the cage.
JAN: You are mine, Shawn Brady. We're gonna be together forever. And there's nothing that little princess Belle can do about it.
