Chapter 24 OUTSIDE CULVER'S - SAUK CITY CIARA: Seriously? CLAIRE: Why would I make something like that up? CIARA: I'm not saying that. It's just...wow. I never thought it was possible. CLAIRE: Me either. CIARA: So, what do we do now? CLAIRE: I don't know. I have no idea. CIARA: Do you wanna go home? Claire thought for a minute. CLAIRE: No. I don't. And it's not just that I don't want to...I don't think I can go home. Not after this. When we set out, we were gonna see every state in the U.S. And that's what we'll do now. It'll be a nice distraction for me. CIARA: Okay. But, if you need anything, or you wanna go back, let me know. I'm here for you. CLAIRE: Thanks. I'm glad you're with me on this journey, Ci. CIARA: Me, too. SALEM PLACE Morgan was sitting at a table, looking at her watch. Jan walked up to her. MORGAN: There you are. Where the hell have you been? JAN: Oh, just revealing the truth that Shawn and I belong together and that we have a child together. MORGAN: Well, that's real nice and all, but what about me? You said you were gonna help me get Max. JAN: Don't get your panties in a twist. I'm working on it. These things take time, you know. MORGAN: Well, you best do somethin' quickly. Chelsea's gettin' more and more pregnant by the day. If she has that baby before I get Max, you are done for. JAN: You keep talking to me like that and I won't do anything for you at all. MORGAN: Excuse me? JAN: Listen, sweet cheeks, I don't take orders from anybody. Especially not a stuck-up entitled southern witch like you. You keep saying that I'll regret crossing you. But you've never even thought about the consequences of crossing me, have you? MORGAN: Well... JAN: No. I didn't think you had. Let this be a warning to you, Morgan: don't cross me. The last person who made that mistake mysteriously disappeared. And by that, I mean I killed them. Now, as it is, I'm almost halfway done with my plan on how to help you get Max. I just don't know entirely how to pull it off. MORGAN: Okay. What's the plan? JAN: We're gonna murder Chelsea. |

Somehow I sense that as much as Morgan wants Max, I don't think she wanted to kill Chelsea... That's what she gets for teaming with Jan.. Looking forward to see what happens next.

Chapter 25 BRADY PUB Ceri was sitting in one of the booths. Sydney walked in. CERI: Hey. SYDNEY: Hey. The two kissed and Sydney sat down across the table from Ceri. SYDNEY: So, I've been reading the book you gave me. CERI: And? SYDNEY: It's amazing! I'm already a little more than halfway through it! I love it so much! CERI: Good. I'm glad you like it. SYDNEY: Yeah. So, what do you want to do today? CERI: I don't know. What do you want to do? SYDNEY: I don't know. But, it's our last day of Christmas vacation. We have to go back to school tomorrow. And, I wanna spend the day with you. CERI: I wanna spend the day with you, too. SYDNEY: Well, then let's go do something. CERI: Okay. Ceri and Sydney stood up. CERI: You know, you've een really happy lately. That's good. I like it when you're happy. You have a pretty smile. SYDNEY: Thanks. I like it when I'm happy, too. Ceri and Sydney kissed. SALEM PLACE MORGAN: Murder? You can't be serious. JAN: I am serious. MORGAN: I mean, I do want Chelsea outta the way, but murder? JAN: Can you think of any other method? MORGAN: No. But, I'm not gonna murder a girl who at one point was one of my best friends. JAN: Then, you obviously don't want my help. MORGAN: I... JAN: You came to me and asked how to get rid of Chelsea, so I told you. If you don't like that answer, sucks to be you. But, just so you know, you'll never get Max any other way. MORGAN: There's gotta be something. There's always something. JAN: This time, I'm afraid, there isn't. This isn't college anymore. This is real life. This is the big games. So, you either play big or go home. Morgan turned around and walked away. JAN: her loss. But, who really cares. And now, to find Shawn and make him mine forever. |

I really hope Morgan doesn't change her mind. Glad Sydney is so happy. I hope it stays that way, but I have a bad feeling it won't.

Chapter 26 THE PARK Morgan sat on Benchy, thinking things through. It had been a day or two since she had been contacted by Jan who had informed her that the only way she was going to get Max was by murdering Chelsea. The problem was, Morgan didn't want to murder Chelsea. She liked Chelsea. After a few minutes, she went over to St. Luke's. ST. LUKE'S It had been a long time since Morgan was even in a church. But, she got into the confession booth and made the sign of the cross. MORGAN: Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. It's been...I don't even know how long it's been since my last confession. PRIEST: What is troubling you, dear one? MORGAN: I've been jealous...for a very long time. When, I was in college, I met a boy named Max. We dated for a while, but then things got in the way. Then, a few years later, he started dating Chelsea, one of my sorority sisters. Now they're engaged and he's got a baby on the way. I spoke to this woman. She told me the only way to get Max back is to kill Chelsea. But, she and I used to be best friends, and I don't want to hurt my best friend. But I'm afraid that this woman, some crazy lady named Jan Spears, will come after both me and Chelsea if I don't help her. On the other side of the booth, we can see that the Priest she is talking to is Eric. ERIC (thinking): Whoa! That Chelsea and Max? I've got to stop that from happening. MORGAN: What should I do, Father? Eric had to think long and hard about this. In all truth, he wasn't really sure what to do. BRADY PUB Jan walked in and walked right over to Shawn-D. JAN: Have you told Belle yet? SHAWN-D: Not yet. JAN: Shawn, it's been a few days. She needs to know. SHAWN-D: Yeah, well, it's gonna be kinda hard on all of us. I've told Claire about it already and she's having a hard time with it. JAN: Her real name, the name I was gonna give to her, is Shauna. Anyway, when is she coming home? SHAWN-D: Whenever she's ready. She and Ciara are on a roadtrip across the U.S. It'll probably be a couple months. JAN: But, I want to see her! SHAWN-D: The two girls havve been planning this trip for months. I'm not gonna let you spoil it for them, Jan. |
