INTODUCTION
ANDRE DIMERA (Writer): After the cliffhanger in "The End of Summer", I instantly wanted to continue. Some of the story that I wanted to include in "Summer Breeze" but wasn't able to became put in here. Plus, we had the return of my favorite character.

RETURNING CHARACTERS
ANDRE DIMERA: Because there were so many deaths and funerals, there were a lot of returning characters. i think almost half the cast was returns. And the list is: Nick Fallon, Max Brady, Rex Brady, Mimi Lockhart, J.T. Reiber, Shane Donovan, Jeannie Donovan, Cassie Brady, Jeremy Horton, Frankie Brady, Steve Johnson, Chelsea Brady, Mike Horton, Eric Brady, Robin Horton, Bart Beiderbecke, and Morgan Hollingsworth.
ALISON RENTON (Morgan Hollingsworth): I think I had appeared in one of André (DiMera, of MyHourglass)'s stories before, I can't remember which one. But, it was a lot of fun to be back, and working with Darin (Brooks) again.
BLAKE BERRIS (Nick Fallon): I was coming back to Days this fall. So, they decided to call me in a few weeks early to tape about 2 scenes for this future storyline so I could play the principal of Salem High, which was really different than the character I'd played before, and I had a great time.

STORYLINES
ANDRE DIMERA: The major focus was on André. Or, rather, André's victims and the way that these deaths effect all of the people of Salem. I think, in total, there were about six or seven deaths, which is the largest number of casualties in my story.
THAAO PENGHLIS (André DiMera): André (the character) is always interesting to play, because he's a loose cannon. You never know what to expect or what you're going to get. And, I think this time he was even more sadistic than usual, because he makes Philip choose whether Belle or Melanie dies. Of course, in the end, André choses for him and kills both Melanie and Philip.
MOLLY BURNETT (Melanie Kiriakis): I think the sadest death of all was Philip's. I actually cried when I watched that, because I felt like I was losing my best friend.
JAY KENNETH JOHNSON (Philip Kiriakis): That video that slyn made...it was amazing! I loved it!
ANDRE DIMERA: I also want to send a huge thank you to slyn for making the Philip tribute video! It was awesome! The other storyline that I wrote in was Sydney gradually finding out that she was actually the one who killed E.J. And, right from the start, I knew it would effect her in a big way.
LIANA LIBERATO (Sydney DiMera): I think what's really sad about this part of the storyline is that Marlena was dead by the time Sydney found out. In the first two stories in this future setting, Sydney would always talk to Marlena about everything. Now, Marlena was dead. And, I really hope that we eventually explore how Sydney's coping.
DIEDRE HALL (Marlena Evans): The last scene with Sydney was very hard to do. But, we got through it and did, in my opinion, rather well. Liana (Liberato) is a wonderful young actress. And, if anyone had to play Sydney as a teen, I'm glad that it was her.

SEQUEL?
ANDRE DIMERA: Will there be a sequel? Possibly. I'm not sure yet. It depends on what I have planned, but it also depends on the readers. If they want to see more of the future storyline, then, yes, there will be more. At the moment, I'll give you a tentative yes, but it won't be anytime in the immediate future.

This was a sad story but I really liked Sydney finding out that one of her alters killed EJ. Love the actors point of view on the stories.

Timeline

ANDRE DIMERA (Writer): Because of the numerous events that occur before the start of "Summer Breeze", I've decided to make a timeline showing what has happened in the interim 15 years. These dates are in order, but I do not have specific dates for all of them.

• Sami and Lucas get married/E.J. begins torturing Sydney
  
• Caroline dies of old age/Max takes over the Brady Pub
  
• Nicholas falls in love with a woman and together, they have twin girls
  
• Melanie and Philip return to Salem around the same time
  
• Kimberly dies
  
• Will and Sonny get married
  
• Philip finds out that Parker truly is his, but doesn't want to ruin Chloe's happiness with Daniel
  
• Philip and Melanie get married
  
• Shawn-D, Belle, and Claire return to Salem
  
• The worst night of Sydney's life
  
• Johnny goes to summer camp and meets Joy
  
• Sydney kills E.J.
  
• Sami is arrested and put in jail for E.J.'s murder
  
• Johnny goes to the dark side
  
• André arranges Stefano's death and becomes Johnny's guardian
  
• Questionable scars start appearing on Sydney's forearm
  
• Melanie gets a phone call from Nicolas/The start of "Summer Breeze"

INTRODUCTION
ANDRE DIMERA (Writer): I wanted to do something a bit lighter than my last few stories, but I also wanted to have a mystery in there. So, I came up with the idea of having a masked motorcyclist come into Melanie's life and see the two of them slowly fall in love.

RETURNING CHARACTERS
ANDRE DIMERA: Because this established a new canon, there were a few returning characters. They are: Carly, Nicholas, Mia, and Vic (or Victor Kiriakis II).
JAY KENNETH JOHNSON (Victor "Vic" Kiriakis II): I don't even remember the last time Vic was on the show. I think he was only two years old at the time. But, I loved playing a character other than Philip. As much as I love Philip, it was nice to play a different character. And, with how Melanie and Philip's relationship ended, I thought it was a brilliant idea on André (DiMera, of MyHourglass)'s part to make Vic identical to Philip. I tried to ask for Vic to have a shirtless scene, but I don't recall him ever getting one. Sorry, everybody. Maybe next time.
TAYLOR SPRIETLER (Mia McCormick): I like returning for these stories. They're fun to do, and very interesting. So, I'm glad that I came back.

STORYLINES
ANDRE DIMERA: Mia returns to Salem and wants Sydney back. She tries to enlist the help of both Will and Chad, but both soon turn on her. She then gets help from Nicole, who promises to train her. Now, this meant that I got to work with Taylor Sprietler again, which is something I love doing!
CASEY DIEDRICK (Chad DiMera): I don't think Chad's ever been downright evil in any story before, except for one other one written by André (DiMera, of MyHourglass). And, I had a really great time playing a completely different side to the character.
ARIANNE ZUCKER (Nicole Walker): Taylor (Sprietler) was great. It was awesome to work with her. And, I hope that we get a sequel so their story can continue.
ANDRE DIMERA: The main part of the story features Melanie coming back into town and meeting a mysterious motorcyle rider. After a couple of late-night rides, the cyclist reveals that he is Victor Kiriakis II, the son of Justin and Adrienne, and that he is identical to Philip. Melanie quickly gets over the similarities and the two fall in love. I also threw in Liam Neeson and some references to "Taken", and other Liam Neeson movies.
LIAM NEESON (Henri): I don't recall ever working on a show like Days before. Most of my scenes were with Molly (Burnett), but I did have one scene with Crystal (Chappell) and Victor (Webster). And they were all wonderful people to work with. I only hope that I am asked back as Henri the butler/part-time superhero again.
MOLLY BURNETT (Melanie Layton): I love working with Jay (Johnson). I've always loved working with him. And, this time was no different. Okay, it was slightly different, as he was a completely different character. But, he's a great guy and the two of us had a lot of fun

SEQUEL?
ANDRE DIMERA: Again, the potential for a sequel depends on whether I get more ideas for this storyline, and whether the fans are interested in a sequel. If I think of a storyline that I think will be good enough, then there will be a sequel. And, these are all of the current stories that I have written. Next week, we will look to the future.

The Future

ANDRE DIMERA (Writer): I currently have five or six stories in the works. And, at least one of them is an updated version of a previous story.

IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE
ANDRE DIMERA: Yes, I'm doing another Days Christmas special. This time, an adaptation of Frank Capra's masterpiece, "It's a Wonderful Life". The title is subject to change. I'm pretty excited about this one. It should be good.

WINTER/REFLECTIONS
ANDRE DIMERA: Another story within the "Summer Breeze" canon. This story would focus on how Sydney is coping with Marlena's death. It would also feature the beginning of Claire and Ciara's road trip across the U.S.A.

A SUMMER (CAMP) TO REMEMBER
ANDRE DIMERA: I keep going back and forth on this story. It would be set in the "Summer Breeze" canon, but its set before any of those stories. It's set about 5 years before "Summer Breeze". This story would explore Johnny before he went evil and go into what exactly he did for Joy that he mentioned in "The End of Summer".

AS-YET UNTITLED "SALEM BEAUTY" SEQUEL
ANDRE DIMERA: Set in the same canon as "Salem Beauty", this story would go into Priness Gina's next big revenge plot. It would also feature the return of one of my favorite supercouples.

AS-YET UNTITLED "DARK RIDER" SEQUEL
ANDRE DIMERA:Though I thought it ended rather well, I've been toying with writing a sequel to "The Dark Rider". Nothing major has come to me yet, but it is definately in the cards.

DAYS OF BLACKADDER'S LIFE
ANDRE DIMERA: I've had a renewed interest in this crossover story, and done some retooling to it. So, I think it's nearly time to release it. I'm looking forward to releasing all of these stories. And, hopefully, the readers will enjoy them as much as I enjoyed writing them.

They all sound really good Andre. It was hard to choose, but I went with Winter Reflections because I'd love to see Ciara and Claire travel cross country, and Dark Rider definitely left me wanting more. I love that you have so many stories in the works. Can't wait for your annual Christmas special! If I had a third choice, I'd have gone with Summer Camp. Very curious about Johnny and Joy.
