She was on a Christmas episode or two. I'm not sure why she is still in Salem. I wonder if the writers have given up on the Kayla/Abe potential pairing? Or was it the actors who were hoping for that story?

I am not certain whether this has been discussed already. Does anyone know what is going on with Eileen Davidson? A bit puzzled by what transpired regarding her departure. It was released that she wished to spend time with her family and decided to leave Days. However, I caught a glimpse of her on Y & R the other day. Is she now appearing regularly on that show? I wonder how far in advance they film. Doesn't make sense to me that she would leave Days to have family time but yet be appearing elsewhere.

I had read she was appearing on Days and filming Y & R at the same time. I had never read she was leaving because of family. I may be wrong of course! LOL

Hope this link is accessible sportsgirl. This is where I read about her reasons. Guess things have changed. I always thought the filming she did for Y & R was for just a couple of appearances.

I suspect the Days role wasn't meant to be long term. I think she was meant to return for that storyline and then disappear.

Are the writers starting to name characters after the actors?
Stefano's newest henchman is named Galen and the actor Galen Gering plays Rafe.
Ben's last name is Rogers and Suzanne Rogers plays Maggie.

I'll have to pay attention to see if this is a trend.

I've always wondered if it gets confusing with the actors who share names with a character on the show. We have Ali Sweeney who's TV daughter is named Ali. Ari Zucker and baby Ari. Back in the Last Blast era there was Jason Cook and JKJ in the same storyline with a character named Jason.

And then there's Eric Brady plus Eric Martsolf who plays Brady. That has got to be a wee bit confusing.

I'm going nuts watching Star Trek: Insurrection right now. Every time I see the character "Anij" played by Donna Murphy, I can't stop thinking how perfect she'd be as Maggie's (history rewritten) daughter, Summer. She's the perfect age to make the story work. As much as I hated the story, I think I would have been okay if she'd been the correct age.
