Chapter 6

OUTSIDE THE BRADY PUB
By now, everybody had gone back into the Pub. Everyone, that is, except Melanie. She was standing outside, thinking to herself.
MELANIE (thinking): He looked cool. But, it's way too soon for me to start another relationship. I'm not even gonna think about it.
Then, the Cool Rider returned. He stopped his bike right in front of Melanie.
MELANIE (thinking): Ooh, he's kinda hot. No, don't do this to yourself!
The biker lifted the vizer of his helmet just enough so Melanie could see his mouth.
COOL RIDER: What's you're name?
MELANIE: Melanie. (thinking) Why does that voice sound so familiar?
The biker smiled. Melanie gasped.
MELANIE (thinking): Dimples! He's got dimples! Dimples are my one weakness!
COOL RIDER: Want a ride?
Melanie nodded. Then, sirens were heard. Apparently someone called the police about the fight from earlier and, being the Keystone Kops Salem PD, they only just got there. The biker touched Melanie's chin.
COOL RIDER: Some other time. Promise.
The Cool Rider started up his bike and zoomed away.

Maybe it is Philip? Love the Keystone Kops comment. It's what I always call them.

Chapter 7

BRADY PUB
Will walked over to Mia.
WILL: We need to talk.
MIA: About what?
WILL: About the insane notion you have that I'm gonna help you steal my baby sister.

SALEM INN
Melanie returned from the Pub. When she got to her room, Henri was on the phone. He was having a very intense conversation with whoever was on the other line.
HENRI: I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you're looking for ransom, I don't have any money. What I do have is a very specific set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a long caterer. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let Carly go now, that will be the end of it. I will not look for you. I will not pursue you. But, if you don't, I will look for you. I will find you. And I will kill you.
Henri hung up the phone and stood up.
MELANIE: What was that about?
HENRI: Your mother's been taken. I have to go find her.
MELANIE: I'm coming with you!
HENRI: No! It is too dangerous. Your brother told me to protect you. And right now, the safest place for you is Salem.
MELANIE: I don't need protecting! I'm a big girl! I can take care of myself! And I am coming with you!
HENRI: No, you're not. Because, as of this moment, you are not allowed to leave Salem.
Henri put a bracelet on Melanie's ankle.
HENRI: Any attempt to leave Salem will result in you getting a shock. I will find your mother, Melanie. I shall return.
Henri disappeared.

Uh oh. Henri's leaving, but Melanie has to stay. I hope she will be safe in Salem. I wonder who abducted Carly. Again, I have a guess.
