Greg is delicious. I've loved him since the 90s.

I just wish we could get a grayer alpha male on the show. Eric does not fit the bill.

I don't remember much about Eric so only time will tell if this is worth it or not. Doesn't hurt that Greg is a cutie!

Brady and Eric are very similar.

Eric hasn't been on screen in over a decade, there could be lots of changes made to the character.

if you go by the casting call....not much has changed with Eric.

Just like giving Brady a drug problem didn't change the essence of the character. It just gave him another layer and more personal depth to pull from. He was slightly less quick to judge, but he still ultimately would.

Coming to Salem.

ABC Soaps In Depth has confirmed the rumor that former “GH” star Greg Vaughan (ex-Lucky) will be joining the cast of “Days Of Our Lives.” However, unlike earlier rumors, it appears that the actor may not be coming to Salem as Eric Brady, Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) brother.

Further details about this casting have not yet been released. Soap Opera Fan Blog will keep you informed as more information becomes available. Would you like to see more Bradys in town or do you think there are enough already?

He was in the running for Quinn and he declined.

I love Greg to pieces but he would be a terrible Philip.

100% Agreed. I have wanted Greg on Days since he got fired on General Hospital. I wanted him to play Nicholas Alamain and to be paired with Stephanie.

I actually think that GV would make a better Philip than Eric. GV is really good at playing characters with an edge to them and IMO Eric is way too much of a good guy. I loved GV's portrayal of Lucky on GH and when Jonathan Jackson came back and took over the role I was actually really upset that GV was no longer going to be in the role. Don't get me wrong I really love Jonathan Jackson's Lucky but I loved the edgy way that GV played Lucky. As much as I can see GV playing Philip more than Eric, I do feel like Greg is a little too old for the Philip role since Philip is only supposed to be in his late 20's early 30's so Eric would actually be a better fit for GV age wise. I wonder if GV is going to play a different character other than Eric if someone else like Kyle Lowder was casted as Eric instead. As much as I love GV I really think that KL is a better fit for the Eric role since he really looks like he could be Sami's twin brother and he has really amazing chemistry with Arianne Zucker.
