Shelley Hennig has already landed her next project a month after The Secret Circle has been canceled. She has been cast for a television series on MTV that is written by Bo Burnham, supposedly it will come out next year. It is a comedy which is something Shelley has been wanting to do since she left Days. Very proud of my girl she has had no problems finding work since she left Days last year. Jay and Shelley both with new projects, I am one happy girl. Here is the link to the Shelley interview where she talks about the project if anyone wants to check it out.

Maybe this one will last longer for her. Since I watch zero on MTV I won't be watching this.

At least she is landing work consistently. I don't watch MTV either, but I will watch for her. Bo Burnham is a real up and comer so I am so excited for her to be working with him. Even if the show doesn't last very long it is way for her to continue to get her name out there which leads to more opportunities. The Secret Circle lasted only one season, but clearly she got herself noticed enough to be cast in something a month after it's cancelation.

I'm actually surprised the Secret Circle didn't get picked up for a second season. It wasn't half bad. Shelley was great in it. I kept up with it for about 4 episodes - it was good, it just skewed too young for me and I couldn't hang. But still, it should've been perfect for the CW's usual audience.
At any rate, I'm happy for Shelley and wish her all the best. She's very talented and I hope she will continue to get ample opportunities to build on her potential.

I'm glad to see that Shelley has a new project lined up. I only watched the last couple of months worth of episodes of the Secret Circle with my teenage niece and I actually enjoyed the show a lot more than I thought I would since I don't usually care for too many shows geared toward the younger audience. I thought Shelley was really good in it and I'm sure she will do really well with this new project.

Alot of people were surprised it got cancelled. The show was the highest rated freshman series on the CW, and was the their third highest rated overall show only behind The Vampire Diaries and America's Next Top Model, and it was their second most viewed show from online viewing only behind the Vampire Diaries. Most insiders are saying it was a money issue because they shoot on location like a film, and spent alot of money on special effects due to the supernatural aspect. Supposedly the show went way over budget. Anyways It could all be a blessing in disguise, many people or saying that the CW is on its last leg. I'm excited for Shelley's new project, I know she has been wanting to do comedy for a while, and I am excited to see that side of her.

^^ See this is the kind of stupidity that makes me crazed - they've got a successful product that but it's still not a big enough profit in their mind because the overhead/production cost is too high but instead of looking for creative ways to cut back on expenditures, they decide to scrap the source of their revenue in order to save money!?!?! It's like if I needed to cut back on living expenses and decided to quit my job so I would have fewer transportation costs.
