The actress made her first appearance in Salem in July 08 and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 2010. Though she reportedly had to turn down offers for outside gigs, she still managed to film some guest spots: In April, Burnett appeared on an episode of CSI: New York. Her other credits since she joined Days include True Blood and Good Luck Charlie." |

UGH!!! Carrie leaves & then returns!??! I'm not sure my stomach or sanity will be able to handle that.

I'd love to see Carrie stick around/come back. And with Molly's current lack of storyline I can't blame her for leaving.  |

I don't want Carrie to come back. Yuck!
I want Molly to leave butnot b/c I don't like her, only b/c she seems to be getting quite a bit of work and I think any actor, esp. someone like her who's just starting out should definitely try to make the most of it. I really think that if she leaves we will be seeing her around.

Carrie returning is just a rumour. Christie Clark has confirmed that she has been told nothing more than the typical "maybe we'll be able to bring you back at some point." There is nothing more concrete about her return than any other character currently away from Salem.

I won't be surprised if Molly leaves. Many of the younger actors leave after their original contract is up to pursue other opportunities. Some end up returning and others don't.

I would take some of it with a grain of salt after all the times they kept rumoring Nadia's return.

The Molly stuff sounds like their is a very good chance that it is true. Molly herself recently in a few interviews I saw with her hinted around that she may be leaving the show when her contract is up. Plus there have been some very cryptic tweets by Molly and some of her costars that sound like she is definitely leaving when her contract is up in June.
The stuff with Christie however I am definitely taking with a grain of salt because Tomlin and Whitesell are both big supporters of Safe and more than likely once Carrie is gone they will go with a Safe/Lumi triangle. The main reason why Christie was probably fired in the first place was Tomlin/Whitesell could reunite Safe. I personally don't want to see Sami anywhere near Rafe ever again.

I guess I don't really understand why everyone hates the character of Melanie so much? I understand she was "hate-able" in the beginning but I don't see why every one hates on her so much now? I need to stop reading other boards because they are so frustrating and so negative. seems like everyone wants Molly to leave.
I think she's a really natural actress and very relatable. She wears her emotions on her sleeve in scenes- very much like Suzanne and whenever I watch her in an emotional scene I can very easily feel what she is. I get that she should move on and get more work... I just wish she could do both days and other projects. :/
