It's the Semi-Finals on
Dancing With the Stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone is dancing two dances tonight (one Latin and one Ballroom) so let's get right to it!
William and Cheryl – TANGO (28)If I were going to score him on his intensity alone, you know he'd get a 10 from me. But something about this Tango was lacking. He looked amazing (DUH!) but his butt was out a little too far for my liking and he seemed to be stomping instead of stalking. The strange thing is it wasn't terrible. It just wasn't wonderful.

Katherine and Mark – QUICKSTEP (29)I expect each dancer in the Semi-Finals to use correct footwork when they are dancing. That shouldn't be too much to ask for, right? Katherine may look lovely, but her footwork is still ALL WRONG!!!
She continues to dance on her toes and the stumble she had near the beginning is precisely for that reason (Mark said it was because he accidently “kicked” her, but that doesn’t fly with me). If she'd taken heel leads instead she would have been fine. She may be graceful and have a gorgeous frame (which she is, and she does) but she loses me each week with her horrible footwork. Oh, and I hate her teacher.
My Score: 8Donald and Peta – WALTZ (28)Lord, I thought the fog monster was going to eat them there for a second. If you watch Donald's feet (when you can see them) THAT'S WHAT WE CALL HEEL LEADS AND CORRECT FOOTWORK!!!!! Yay for Donald!!!! And even though the fog was clearly out of control, that was a wonderful Waltz and I am happy to give him a perfect score. Well done!!!
My Score: 10Maria and Derek – ARGENTINE TANGO (30)Parts of this were very nice, but other parts were less nice. She still is kind of awkward to me. Maybe it's because of her old lady heels (what were they? An inch? Put that woman in some 3 inch heels please!!) but it was just somewhat stunted. That's really the only way to describe it. Her lines looked cut off and her knees were bent when they really shouldn't have been. I didn't hate it, but I certainly didn't like it.
My Score: 8William and Cheryl – SAMBA (30 + 28 = 58)I'll admit I was a little distracted by Cheryl's boobie pad coming out, but that was a really good Samba. He's so good and he's sooooo hot. Excellent. The only thing that could possibly have made it better would have been if he was shirtless. Duh.
My Score: 10Katherine and Mark – SALSA (27 + 29 = 56)I hated that. It just reeked of desperation. The mess up at the end was just unfortunate and I think it was a complete fluke. But I h-a-t-e-d this dance. Too much boobie shaking and not enough actual Salsa. Sorry.
My Score: 8Donald and Peta – SAMBA (29 + 28 = 57)I really liked that one. Kind of a sweet Samba instead of sexy one. I'm fairly certain they missed a connection at the end, but they played it off well. There really isn't too much to say. It was very very good.
My Score: 10Maria and Derek – JIVE (29 + 30 = 59)That was the least amount of Jive I think I've ever seen. No, wait. There was another one, but I can't remember who it was. They did too much Lindy and not enough Jive. I think it was Karina and JR. And the judges nailed them for it and rightfully so. Anywho, this was like that for me. Barely enough to judge here so I'm afraid Maria is going to the bottom of the pack.
My Score: 7Overall I am shocked at the scores tonight. I spent more time yelling at my TV going “What?!? Are you kidding me?!?!” But it remains to be seen who will go home. At the end of Katherine's routine they messed up (I think Mark tripped over her) and it looks like she injured her back. Will she be forced to drop out? Tune in Tuesday!

I didn’t realize till now that I gave Donald two 10s. Huh! I stand by my scores and, clearly, I disagree with the judges on most of their scores. Then again, that’s nothing new.

I think she actually had lower heels because she has had trouble with her feet.
