The show was mainly a trifle.
John loomed large in my mind. Unlike Victor and Doug, who were obviously old and frail, John was relatively young and vibrant. And then to suddenly be shot down so quickly. Painful thing and a reminder of how difficult and brutal life can be.

The show was mainly a trifle. John loomed large in my mind. Unlike Victor and Doug, who were obviously old and frail, John was relatively young and vibrant. And then to suddenly be shot down so quickly. Painful thing and a reminder of how difficult and brutal life can be. I felt this too. It almost felt like an insult to have to sit through this Body and Soul nonsense instead of just one more scene with John.
And I wonder if part of the reason we're seeing so much Hattie is to keep Deidre busy while Drake needed time off to battle his illness.
