Jada arrives in Rafe’s hospital room and Rafe tells her he remembers a woman’s voice saying the open grave is the least of his problems. The two of them piece together everything they know, including Melinda’s disappearance. Connie’s name comes up, along with her connection to Li and Bobby and Jada realizes Connie must be the one who wrote Bobby’s suicide note, which is why Bobby called 911. Before Jada rushes off to Connie’s place, Rafe tells her to take backup with her.
Roman comes to visit Rafe as he unsuccessfully tries to reach Gabi. He tells Roman he’s worried that Gabi’s new assistant might be dangerous.
Later, Jada enters Connie’s apartment. She and the other officer notice blood on the rug near the door. The officer contacts CSU (Crime Scene something?). Jada goes into Melinda’s room and gasps, but we do not see what she’s looking at.

It's nice to see Rafe actually have a little bit of a police brain for a change. They've really dumbed him down over the years.

Rafe was top dog today. He did most of the "keg work" as Jada added a key component at the end.
Nice to see cops t talking thru a case and making progress. And Rafe told Jada to get backup. Finally some proper thinking going on.
Rafe also gets best actin award today. The way he was subtly shaking his head after he flashbacked to his "strange" meeting with Connie was hilariously spot on.
I am glad the bitch is in focus now but worried that he couldn't reach Gabi in time.
