At the pub, Roman and Paulina have an inane chat. Paulina leaves and Roman tells Ava she’s very late on her rent. Ava promises to get caught up. Roman offers her her old job back and tells her he likes her despite bad blood. She accepts the job.
Later she runs into Stefan who offers her the manager job at the Bistro, no drugs this time. He no longer cares if it bothers Gabi. They’re done.

Roman offers her her old job back and tells her he likes her despite bad blood. You know, a little thing like hijacking the plane that killed his father and put his family in jeopardy. But, pshhhh I guess some people can move past that.

Paulina was vaguely funny today with her asides.
I liked that they instilled some realism with Ava as she hasn't been paying her rent. Good guy Roman trying to bail her out was a nice gesture. Kind of bummed Stefan intervened but Ava will make more money at The Bistro.
And she will be able to make at least "some" payments towards her rent. Ha. And Roman really didn't need her so no harm no foul.
The fact that his Pub isn't getting paid by B & S for the use of his pub doesn't seem right. Like I mentioned before production companies routinely pay off businesses for the time they are shut down for film shoots.

Not directly in these scenes, but I thought the opening with Paulina and Roman talking about pumpkin spice lattes and "basic bitches" was funny. They weren't beating us over the head with the humor, just some light dialogue to get things moving.
