Repeat of Fiona wielding the bat and Fiona saying she has a confession. Xander wants to know what she could possibly confess that would stop him beating the living daylights out of Brady?


Fiona can’t let Xander do this. Xander assures her that he is not going to kill him, just do to him what he did to Sarah. Fiona says Xander doesn’t understand: She and Brady slept together. Xander looks confused and probably mildly ill.


Xander wants to know why Fiona would say something so vile. Brady looks at his toes. Fiona reminds him about the man she was seeing. Xander recalls the underwear he found in her hotel room and turns on Brady. Brady starts to mumble but Xander bellows at him to watch his mouth. Fiona confirms that they were Brady’s. Xander now looks really ill and repeats “No, noo” holding his head. Fiona continues to implore him. Xander was actually happy for her that she found somebody, he suggested that she invite him to his wedding. “…and all the while my own mother was sleeping with my nephew?? That’s it, I’ve changed my mind, I am going to kill you!”. He lunges at Brady’s throat. Brady, lamb to slaughter, welcomes it.


Xander asks Brady if it wasn’t enough for him to drive drunk and nearly killed his wife, he had to bed his mum as well? Brady says it wasn’t like that. Fiona says they didn’t know about the family connection when they met. Xander thinks Brady knew exactly what he was doing. He has the great line: “What is this? I shot your Mum so you shagged mine?”. Brady is a gentleman who would never do that to a woman, let alone Xander’s mother. Fiona says that she and Brady were both in a bad way when they got together the first time (Xander digests “First time” with dread). He wants to know how many times there were. Fiona says it doesn’t matter, they were two lost souls looking for a soft place to land. Brady has a headache. Xander wants to know if they were both drunk when they hooked up.


Xander again asks if Fiona was drinking with Brady. Did she fall of the wagon and land on this jackass? Brady says he was drinking, drowning his sorrows about Theresa, and Fiona was also having a rough night. Fiona reminds him it was the night he kicked her out of his wedding. She was very hurt. Xander asks if she is blaming him for this. Fiona says no, she just wants to explain why she can’t let Xander hurt him. Xander says, please don’t tell me that you have feelings for Brady Black!


Fiona says this is not about Brady. She was fond of him but when she found out what he did to Sarah she ended things immediately. Xander wants to know if she knew he was a drunk. Fiona knew he was drinking but they were not exactly exchanging ‘drunkalogues’. Xander has the Salem Brain. He finds it unlikely that two alcoholics hooked up and booze was not involved. Brady says only on his part. Xander picks up the bat and tells him he is lucky that Fiona showed up when she did or he would be a cripple right now. Fiona lowers the bat for him. Brady reiterates that he is so sorry about Sarah. Xander tells him to shut up, there is nothing he can say or do that will ever make things right between them. And he is not going to stop until Brady gets what he deserves. He tells Brady to pack up his crap and get out of his building. He is fired. He leaves, bat in hand. Fiona and Brady exchange looks.


Brady thanks Fiona for possibly saving his life. She thanks him for covering about his drinking. Brady says Xander has lost so much already, he didn’t want to be responsible for him losing his mother. Fiona appreciates that, more than he knows. Brady tells her that Xander has every right to want to hurt him. Fiona starts to say something but tells him she needs to get back, and that this is goodbye, they should not have anything to do with each other from now on. Brady: Goodbye Fiona. Fiona; Goodbye, Brady Black.

I called this one. I figured she'd say she slept with Brady and not confess that she was the driver. At least it got Brady out of being pummeled and Xander out of being arrested for assault with intent to maim.

Poor Xander, now he can't get the image of his head of Brady and his mum.

I mean, odd that Xander walked away, but I think the scene were Maggie says he needs to manage his own emotions as an adult was what we ultimately saw him do here. Fire Brady but leave him in one piece. So score one for Xander here.

Fiona couldn't come up with something better than telling Xander the truth about mating with Brady. Naturally he would be repulsed.

Brady is like a mannequin now.

As for Xander disgusting behavior. The man has a one-year-old and he is acting like a third-rate goon.

Even Brady agreed that Xander has the right to beat him. The point is, he didn't, even with this new info. He walked away and went home, where he was even honest with Sarah about it.

I don't think he would have been able to go through with it unless Brady fought back. The martyr act saved him.
