Stephanie and Everett’s Ashes are hanging out in the living room. Alex arrives and apologizes for not being at the memorial. She asks if he wants to stay for a drink or run lines for B&S. He says a drink would be great.
Steph says it was nice having Jada there, even though technically they were mourning two different people. Alex is so sorry for her. Steph thought that they had a second chance at happiness. People tell her she had no way to help him, but it breaks her heart that he was so tortured and hurt so many other people and himself. Alex says there was no way she could have helped, since she had no idea what he was suffering from. He assures her she will find love again, she is beautiful and successful, the whole package, any guy would be crazy not to want to be with her. Steph thanks him for saying that. He hugs her. She pulls away and kisses him.
Stephanie is all over Alex. He tells her they should stop. He knows she is in mourning. And he is not over Theresa. He has come to realize that there is nothing more valuable than a friend, and he doesn’t want to jeopardize their friendship. Steph says he was right, what was she thinking? Alex says she was trying to make the hurt go away, and who could blame her. Steph is thinking about how much he has changed. The old Alex would have jumped into bed with her without a second thought. The new and hopefully improved Alex has learned that there is nothing more valuable than a friend. Didn’t you just say that? They clink bottles. Steph wants to order take out and watch a movie.
They are eating Chinese and watching Ted. Steph namedrops Peacock. Ted is an icon and a guru to Alex. That explains a lot to Steph. She needed this. Alex: A raunchy stoner teddy bear? Steph says she knows what he meant.

Stephanie always lines up her next conquest before the body of her last beau is even cold.
Why is she holding on to an empty urn? Will its value increase?

The Peacock reference couldn't be more obvious. Naturally I had to go thru hell today to access my Peacock. I don't know if it was just a one-day glitch again or I will have to go thru the tedious process of a step-by-step ritual to line it up.
The "Ted" reference was pretty funny though. Although it looked like Steph was munching on Chinese food beansprouts, which I made the mistake of ordering a while back. Ha.
Don't know what to make of them getting back "together."

I felt like this scene was 100% intended to show that Ben Alex is now a fine upstanding young man who's no longer a player. Stephanie's the one who floats from man to man to man and will jump into bed with the nearest guy.
