Fabby is on the phone with unseen Mark grousing about Steve being onto them. What if he figures it out? She is freaking out. Enter Chad. She didn’t hear him come in. He pretends to tap dance to show how light he is on his feet. She lies she was ordering sushi and then couldn’t get the address right so was freaking out. Chad offers to text Harold to get an order for her. Fabby wonders why Chad is here. He saw Stephanie and she reported that they had a good visit. Fabby figures Stephanie would have told Chad she lied to her.
Chad says it wasn’t really a lie, just a confusion. Fabby says there are too many doctors with similar names. Chad says they are trying to shove 35 years of names into her head. Fabby is relieved he believes her, but Uncle Steve doesn’t.
Chad is surprised that Steve visited. He tells her that they were close. He is surprised Steve didn’t come sooner with his own two eyes. Fabby corrects ‘with his one eye’. They high five her hilarious joke. She says she is doing a lot of odd things like not remembering which doctor is her aunt. Chad is ok with her not being herself. Steve treated her like a suspect. Chad says that like Jennifer, Steve was probably overwhelmed. Fabby wants to know if that is how Chad feels. He takes her hands. He tells her he feels like it is the miracle he has prayed for every night since she left. That is how he feels.
All Chad wants is for Fabby to feel comfortable and loved. That means a lot to her. She wants to know what’s in Chad’s bag. He has their wedding album. He found it in the attic at the Horton place (shouldn’t that have been burned to a crisp?). He hoped she would like to see some good memories. Fabby opens it up and starts looking at the photos. She is surprised to see Charlotte and Thomas. Chad says this was their third wedding. They had their share of ups and downs but always found their way back to each other. She notes it was a small wedding, guess the guests gave up after the first two. Chad tells her Julie did the wedding and then they took off for Paris. She says that sounds like an adventure. Chad says their lives together were an adventure. She closes the book. Chad tells her he has memorized his vows, would she like to hear them. She would. He was afraid she would say that.
Chad: You are so beautiful. Every time I look at you, our children, our family, I see a future. A future that I almost lost. I doubted you. You never doubted me. Your love for me has always been unwavering, absolutely unwavering. You know someone asked me a long time ago what it is I thought you wanted; a house, a job, things. Eventually I realized all you really wanted was me, just me. You’ve always fought for your health and for us.
Fabby is emotional and wiping away tears.
Chad finishes, I will cherish you, I will protect you, I’m yours. And I’ll never doubt you again, because it is true. A love like ours really only does come once in a lifetime.
Fabby says that was profound and beautiful. Nobody has ever said anything like that to her before, that she can remember anyway. Chad says it is all true. Then they exchanged rings, and Julie told him he could kiss his bride. They lean in to kiss but are stopped by Chad’s phone ringing. It’s Julie of course. Charlotte is having a nightmare and needs him. Fabby tells him to take care of their little girl. He gets emotional. She thanks him for the album and the vows. She was a lucky woman. Chad says he was the lucky one. He still is. He goes. She is shaken.
Fabby is looking through the album. She can’t do this anymore. She picks up her phone and sees a text from Clyde, who of course has a phone in supermax. It says: “Why haven’t you got Chad down the aisle yet? You know what’s going to happen if you don’t. Your friend, Clyde”. This doesn’t make her happy.

Those were lovely vows but I don't remember Chad and Abby ever having that undying supercouple vibe.
Fake Abby is REALLY AN IDIOT. She has a room. Why is she continuing to talk on the phone in a quasi-public setting where people constantly walk in and question what she's saying? I would question how she has so many people to talk to all the time when she doesn't remember her life.
And who's paying for her mobile phone service?

I was never into Chabby either. Especially with the actress change. I prefer Marci but I think most of Chabby was with Kate and I didn't like her at all.

I agree @kpatch that Chad/Abby never really had the supercouple vibe.
I also didn't like them making fun of Steve's one eye
Fabby is an idiot. Maybe she wants to be caught. I think even she is not okay with what she's doing.

Awkward scene and Chad is such a watery boring character.
They are still dressing her up like Queen Victoria.
For the third day in a row the show has mostly bored me, but I did like the ending.
And I recall immediately thinking Clyde was involved early on in this frustratingly oblique storyline so some vindication but not exactly much clarity.
But the best part is maybe this fake lady (and Mark) are good guys after all and they are being FORCED into this stuff by Clyde. Not 100% certain though but it sure seems that way. I hope so. We have enough villains in Salem at the moment.

I'm guessing Clyde is threatening Felicity's life if Mark and Fake Abby don't follow Clyde's orders. Maybe Aaron's too.

I would question how she has so many people to talk to all the time when she doesn't remember her life. This is driving me INSANE. She's been caught in lies on the phone twice and talking to the portrait once in a matter of days. Go behind a closed door! Same thing for Fiona. She was monologuing at great length about the hit-and-run in the living room/study/whatever of the mansion where most of the involved parties live. It's such lazy writing.
