Fiona is cleaning up the party stuff in the living room. There are balloons everywhere and she picks up a bat. She has a paper party cup from which she is drinking. Of course she turns to chat with Victor’s portrait. She says that their granddaughter had fun and she wishes she could have enjoyed it too but it was impossible for her to enjoy the party, for obvious reasons. Victor apparently is judging her. Fiona tells him not to look at her like that, it is not like she actually went through with smothering Sarah. Anyhow, if Victor is so outraged why doesn’t he tell her how to stop people from finding out she was behind the wheel that night and that Brady is an innocent man? Brady wanders in at that moment.
Fiona says Brady’s ears must have been burning, she was just telling his grandfather that Brady was a free man. Brady complains that his confession was worthless since he can’t remember anything, and he wants to be punished. Fiona asks what he is doing at the mansion. Brady is here to see Sarah. Fiona does not think that’s a good plan.
Brady doesn’t understand why seeing Sarah is terrible idea. He promises Fiona he will not divulge that they were together the night of the accident. Fiona appreciates that. Brady will also not say anything to Xander. Fiona says that would hurt them even more, but that is not what she means. Sarah is too fragile and seeing him would be triggering. Brady says he and Sarah had a good relationship, and Maggie is his sponsor, he just wants to tell her he’s sorry. Fiona says it is all about him and easing his guilty conscience. Brady asks if he is being selfish. Fiona says he is as Sarah is in no way ready to see the person who put her in a wheelchair. And she is also worried about Xander. If he finds Brady here, he will tear him limb from limb. And here is Xander, looking daggers at Brady.
Xander notes that Brady has ‘met’ his mother. Fiona says she told Xander’s ‘cousin’ to leave, he is not wanted here. Brady says he will go. He wanted to see Sarah. Xander will not let Brady anywhere near Sarah after what he did. Brady just wants to say he is sorry. Xander tells him he will be sorry; Sarah is seeing Marlena so she can remember seeing his drunken mug behind the wheel of the car that left her paralyzed. And as soon as that happens his wife will get the justice she deserves, as EJ will be able to nail his sorry ass to the wall.
Maggie wheels in Sarah and they stop when they see Brady. Xander says he was just leaving. Brady goes up to them and tells them he wants to tell them both how sorry he is. He is not expecting forgiveness. He didn’t come here for that. He can’t forgive himself. It’s not an excuse but he is an alcoholic. He was depressed and relapsed that night. He is ashamed of that. He is even more ashamed that he drove drunk. He doesn’t remember getting behind the wheel. He remembers drinking at the bar and then waking up behind the wheel the next day. He knows that he hurt her and left her on the street, and he can’t even express his shame. He doesn’t want EJ to drop the charges. He wants to be punished. But his confession is not enough. He wishes he could go back. He wishes he could trade places with her. He is so sorry. He will regret it for the rest of his life. Sarah and Maggie look compassionate, Xander still looks angry and, Fiona looks guilty. Victor has no opinion.
Maggie appreciates everything Brady said, and says that she is in no position to judge. But she is heartbroken that he didn’t call her as his sponsor. There is no point looking back, and now they all need to move forward. She knows that his regret is genuine. Brady says that he should have called her that night. He looks right at Sarah and says he doesn’t expect her to say anything, but he wanted her to hear his apology from him. Xander has had enough of this. He has let Brady have his say out of respect for Sarah and Maggie, who he knows would be angry at Xander if he didn’t let Brady grovel

I was mainly bored today but the one moment that stood out was the way Sarah just stared at Brady without uttering a word. Xander went for the jugular and Maggie tried to be diplomatic. But Sarah's reaction felt right. Why should she give this slobbering fool who "ran" over her any feedback. She has the RIGHT to say nothing.
As for that slobbering fool Brady. He is an even bigger idiot than I thought he was. The fool doesn't remember anything and for some reason has he not thought about his companion that night the slithering Fiona?
Yet he did it in his mind. I want someone to recreate that day and bring in that waiter who got into a tussle with Brady that tragic night.

LOL Victor had no opinion (you're cracking me up today)
I get Brady is contrite. I think everyone's emotions are spot on and this is on par (with the exception of Sarah being too forgiving). I can't wait for her to have her breakdown and get angry.

I can't wait for her to have her breakdown and get angry. I thought Sarah's silence bespoke a certain classier type of anger It was like I am not going to lower myself and get in the weeds with this person who did such a horrible thing. Above the fray I say, and I respect the fact Sarah took such a noble approach. You don't see that type of behavior in Salem much given everyone is so petty. I should feel sorry for Brady, but I don't. His stupidity intercepts any feelings of empathy i have for this fool.

Her silence during the apology, yes, but every time someone mentions the accident, her condition, or even how she feels about Brady, she seems to be too positive. She was dealt a crappy hand, and I think she's in a little denial.

Sarah's silence was the best part for me too. I also liked Xander saying he was only keeping quiet because Maggie and Sarah would yell at him if he didn't let Brady say his piece.

I can't believe Brady didn't hear what big-mouth Fiona said. She is a hideous person (and a bad actress).
I liked it too that Sarah didn't say anything one way or the other. I feel like she might have said something if Xander weren't there.
It was uncomfortable to watch Brady's apology because it was really emotional and well done.
