At home, Brady paces around, telling himself to think. He has a flashback of going to the garage with Fiona and realizing the car was missing.
His phone rings. It’s Maggie, who apologizes for missing his call. He asks if there’s any news about Sarah. Maggie tells him that Sarah is paralyzed.
Brady asks if the paralysis is permanent. Maggie says the doctors don’t know; there’s no guarantee. Brady asks what he can do. Maggie tells him to pray for her recovery and for the police to find whoever did this.
Later, Brady knocks on Fiona's door while she is drinking and having a flashback of Xander saying Sarah is paralyzed. She quickly hides the alcohol before letting him in. She asks Brady if he found out what happened to his car. Brady says he has other things on his mind. Why didn't she tell him Sarah was paralyzed? Fiona supposes she downplayed it. She's upset because her grandaughter's mother may never walk again, so forgive her if Brady is not the first thing on her mind. Brady is freaking out about this and she tells him to calm down. He says that's easy for her to say since she's not the one who may have caused the accident.
Fiona pours a drink for Brady. At first he hesitates but she says it'll calm his nerves and he gives in. He drinks it and Fiona asks if he feels better. No, he doesn't. Sarah just got married and has her whole life ahead of her and he may have ruined everything.
Maggie knocks, looking for Fiona. Brady whispers she can't see him here. He goes and hides in the bathroom.
Brady listens from the bathroom while Maggie asks Fiona to watch VIctoria so she can visit Sarah in the hospital. Fiona and Maggie discuss the accident and how Sarah is still paralyzed and must be feeling terrified. . Maggie says that Sarah was finally happy and settled and then a random person took it all away. Fiona says they're all in it together and to give Sarah her best. Brady continues to listen to this, looking more and more guilty.
Maggie finally goes. Brady emerges. This was excruciating, especially since he might have caused the accident. Fiona tells him, “For the last time…” He asks if she’s up for babysitting. Fiona agrees, saying it’ll do her some good to spend time with this gorgeous little creature. Brady says he’ll leave her to it. Fiona reassures him it’ll be okay. Brady leaves. Fiona tells the baby that Mummy will be home soon, safe and sound, if she can just keep Brady and his conscience from ruining everything.
Meanwhile, at home, Brady is pouring himself a drink when Jada knocks on the door. Jada says she needs to see his car...

Still no idea where his car is. I still think one of his well meaning parents took it into the shop, and there will be a record of the damage.
Brady still drinking, even after he 'knows' what he did, is really low for him.
Fiona is intriguing to me. She just keeps rationalizing everything she does. I think she does love Xander and is terrified of losing him again, but she doesn't want Brady to go down for it if she can help it.

Fiona was not at all convincing when she said "Poor girl" about Sarah. Sort of like, "poor girl. Oh well. At least it's not me. Wonder what's on the telly today." She's so unemotional for a soap character.
In contrast, Brady is clearly in agony. It's palpable. But Brady can simply tell Jada that his car was stolen. That takes him off the suspect list.
