Replay of Chanel and Alex’s fight. Abe notes the tension betwixt the two is off the charts and looks thoughtful. Johnny wants to defend Chanel. Alex tells him they were rehashing something he thought was ancient history. Chanel goes over to Johnny and kisses him, and Alex looks annoyed and takes off.
Chanel tells Johnny it was nothing. Abe suddenly has somewhere he needs to be. He prompts Johnny to run “their” idea by Chanel. Johnny wants to talk about Alex ‘harassing’ Chanel. Chanel reluctantly tells him it was about Allie. She assures him she is now with the person she is supposed to be with. Alex just needs to know that they can never be friends after his betrayal of her in the past. But what was Johnny and Abe’s idea? Johnny tells her all about the character of Faith, an ingenue spitfire, and how Chanel is perfect for the part.
Johnny tells Chanel that she is beautiful, talented and searching for a new creative outlet. The bakery runs itself. They could spend all their time together. Would she audition?
Chanel does not think auditioning is a good idea. She is not an actress, and if she doesn’t get the part, it would be awkward, and if she does, and is awful, it would be even worse. Johnny tells her she was amazing when she auditioned for Celeste in the Marlena Evans Story. Chanel says that she is his wife now, and that when she said she wanted to spend more time with him she meant picnics and walks, not working together. She gives Allie and Talia as examples of why that is not a good idea to mix work and relationships. Johnny grabs and kisses her. How would she like to do that all day long? Chanel agrees at once to audition.
Johnny is pulling up Leo’s script on his phone and emails it to Chanel. She wants to know how long she has to memorize it/ Johnny says as long as it takes for them to find a leading man for her.

I liked Chanel's paisley dress. I love how this is the only good thing you can find to say about the scene. There's nothing else. It's totally not credible that Chanel could take that much time away from the bakery to have another job. How many workers did she hire? Doesn't she want to bake anymore?

The bakery 'runs itself'.
Ok....

She went from having no help at the bakery to having so help she no longer needs to be there. The only creative outlet she should have time for is an art class.
