Stephanie is working on her laptop when Alex comes in. He thinks that breaking all those dishes did the trick because it is supposed to bring about new beginnings. He gets up from his seat and accidentally spills water all over her laptop. He apologies and offers to pay for her meal. She puts her hand on his and tells him it is okay. The gaze at each other as Justin & Bonnie enter. Bonnie wonders what is going on.
Stephanie leaves to go to her meeting (without the notes she was working on). Alex feels bad but Justin has something that might brighten his spirits. He pulls out the annulment papers. Alex is thankful his marriage to Theresa will officially be over. Justin says that nightmare can be put behind him now. Bonnie thinks he could get back with Stephanie. He insists they are just friends and neither one is looking for a new relationship.
Bonnie gets a message about her Body & Soul contract which sets her pay at scale. Justin offers to negotiate a better deal for her. She thought he would think her acting was a silly idea, but he tells her that he is proud of her & hopes she will bring him as her plus-one to the Daytime Emmy’s.

Bonnie is such a busybody but what a bummer for Steph's laptop. But nice to see Justin in a more relaxed state these days. The lawyer in him wants to negotiate Bonnie's contract. Ha.

Well, Theresa is out time for Alex to fixate on another woman. Both of these characters need to be single for a very very long time.
Justin does not need the money. Bonnie should be grateful for a job doing something she has no experience in at all.

I bet the Bistro doesn't appreciate someone taking up a table for as long as Stephanie was. Go to the pub instead.
I can however relate to spilling a liquid on a laptop and having it die. Happened twice in my house. Once on my work laptop and once Ron spilled water on his laptop. Fried. Cost nearly as much to repair as buying a whole new one.
