Melinda meets Ava in the cafe. She says they can’t talk at the office because this is a sensitive subject.

Ava says, “If you have something to say, just say it.” Melinda says, “This isn’t about you. It’s about Connie.” Ava says Melinda should discuss that with Gabi. Melinda says, “Gabi hired Connie but you hired Gabi. Gabi won’t want pushback about her right-hand woman.” Ava says, “You’d better tell me what Connie did.”

Ava says, “That doesn’t track. Someone had to check her references.” Melinda says that Gabi Chic hasn’t been acquired yet at the time. Gabi doesn’t check references and seems to love Connie. Gabi was swamped with her launch and Rafe being in the hospital. Ava says Gabi said Connie is an oddball but outstanding. Melinda says Connie said she was a lead merchandiser at Saxton’s but her friend  who works there said he remembered her and she was a clerk for two weeks. He recalled she was psychotic and weird. They gave her a favorable reference because she kept suing them and they wanted to get rid of her. Melinda says Connie should be terminated immediately.

Ava says, “I have to tangle with the nut job?” Melinda says,she will fire Connie. She insists Ava tell Gabi that Connie has been terminated.

Finally someone did something intelligent and checked out the weirdo.

Enjoyed these two together. I needed an Ava break after the Harris deluge. Melinda is a favourite of mine. I'd love to see her with EJ

Kind of chuckled when Trask told Ava she wouldn't hire her.

Trask should be in charge of the Rafe stabbing and "Bobby" death.

She smelled a rat and is going to pursue it. About time somebody focused on Connie.
