Very disturbing news and it makes me wonder if Days will last the long haul. Show staple Nicole is leaving the show. She is suing Days. I won't go into the ugly details which you can read below and elsewhere. She might be seen on screen thru the summer, but this is a mighty blow to the show which has been reeling of late. Annoyed enough that Harris is departing just as he was becoming a special character, so this latest bombshell news is quite depressing. soapsspoilers.com/days-of-our-lives/news/comings-goings-arianne-zucker-sues-sexual-harassment

Well if this is true than good for her Not a lot of women have the guts to do this Considering how many people have left recently on bad terms makes me believe this everything that she’s suing for is true I love me some days of our lives, I’ve been watching since I was two years old and my granny used to ask us to translate and used the the show to learn English However it hasn’t really been great and I can honestly say if these allegations are true which they likely are given how misogynistic the writing often is and the gross approach taken with rape stories, maybe this is a good thing It demands change I would certainly welcome it

If this is true not only do I hope this goes through, I hope that other female cast members who suffered join with her.

The producers should have put an end to it long ago, but the suit should be against the perpetrator, not the producers.

The producers should have put an end to it long ago, but the suit should be against the perpetrator, not the producers. I think it's valid for it to be against both. The producers were acting as the de facto HR department and disregarded reports, continuing to put actors and crew members in uncomfortable and dangerous situations despite numerous reports of what Alarr was doing. And he was part of the "producers' suite" the entire time. So I think Corday is also responsible for how long this was allowed to go on. It's ultimately his set culture to dictate, and he allowed someone to set a negative and harmful culture for years despite being informed of it.

I think it should go against both - especially if there is proof that this was an ongoing thing that was reported and nothing was done but a slap on the wrist. Absolutely she should have one against Alarr. If she's got the proof and backing of enough to go after the producers, then she sure has enough to go after him.

Corday is still allegedly friendly with Alaar too, and I believe Mrs Alaar still writes for the show, which is problematic as it might mean Albert still has a foot in the door

Do we know for a fact that complaints were officially made at the time? That is the million dollar question.

Do we know for a fact that complaints were officially made at the time? That is the million dollar question. Formal complaints unsure, but plenty of stuff I read on twitter last summer, from Farah Faith (ex Mimi) to Nadia B's mom who did not want that man around her teen daughter

Do we know for a fact that complaints were officially made at the time? That is the million dollar question. It sounds like it. The paperwork outlines a number of times that AZ went to "the producers" with concerns and verbatim quotes from Corday brushing her off, before she finally went to Sony's HR.

You can tell the actresses that Alaar hated. Judi just vanished after he made that slur about her. Stacey has all but disappeared until the last few weeks. Martha was written out without even a goodbye scene for Belle. Nadia was let go, Jen Lilley was treated terribly. Not sure how much Camilla chose to leave but I can't see her taking any nonsense. The only legit firing this year that made sense was Talia, who was awful.
However the most featured actress in January was Theresa, who I'm fairly certain is not a favourite of any viewer

I also remember reading that the girl who plays Ciara was made to wear all those skimpy outfits Between her and Camilla it was all for “shock value” but they both disappeared as well Sexual harassment is a major topic and unfortunately happens everywhere in many workplace environments Someone needs to be the first to step up I hope the others will speak up too because change is needed

This is a shame and not good for the show, and Nicole is a major character on Days. The show is already struggling and Ken Corday needs to go. No excuse for him allowing misconduct to go on as long as he did. It is inexcusable that Alaar is still writing for the show after his mistreatment/ abuse of women on set. Unless a big change is made and things are improved behind the scenes, there isn't a good future for Days. There needs to be respect and a good working environment for the actors because it can't be easy to do some of those scenes. I wish Corday would leave and someone who really cares about all aspects of the show would take over. He doesn't respect the characters or the actors.

I just listened to her statement. I think she’s very brave and I’m glad she stood up for herself and the other female staff. Corday’s response was shameful. I’m a bit afraid this may end the show. If it does it’s not her fault. Hopefully, they will make some big changes.

Well, I'm sad to see her go, but am glad she's standing up for herself and for other women in the industry. I hope she gets a lot of peer support and this causes things to change.
I agree Corday needs to give up the reins to someone who cares about the show and the actors. He just lives off his family’s legacy and is a disgrace to the show and family legacy.
I’m saddened to hear that male cast members were also standing by enforcing bad treatment for a female cast member standing up for herself.
