Thanks for the previews Kpatch. Excited about an extra chapter day. (Just love those days) Glad that Chloe got to see her doctor. Hope the something wrong is Chloe upset that she had to stab someone and not something with the baby. Can't wait for news about Kate and Victor. I can still do the pushing of the meds my way, or tell Philip when he puts the probes for the electric chair not to wet them. (Makes it more painful and they could even go on fire.)

Sorry for the later-than-usual post. Ron had his first day off in a week today, and was using the computer. I did not feel I should kick him off. Chapter 23 coming right up.

PHILIP’S HOTEL ROOM, BANGKOK
Philip is holding Chloe who has calmed down considerably. He gets a text message and checks it as she wipes the tears from her face.
Chloe: Who is it?
Philip: It’s Joe. They’re ready to leave whenever you are. Want to go home?
Chloe gets out of bed and heads for the bathroom.
Chloe: Give me 10 minutes.
Philip: That would be the fastest you’ve ever gotten ready.
Philip liked the sound of that. He was teasing Chloe just like everything was normal. She usually teased him back, but not today. About 15 minutes later, she came out of the bathroom.
Chloe: I’m ready to go home.
TITAN JET
The jet is airborne and heading back to Salem. Philip is sitting next to Chloe while the others are milling about, talking to each other. But Philip won’t leave Chloe’s side. He’s holding her hand and looking at her every few minutes.
Philip: How are you doing? You okay?
Chloe: I’m fine.
Philip: We should go to the hospital as soon as we land. You should get checked.
Daniel is walking by their seats at that moment and he chimes in.
Daniel: I was going to suggest that too. You should see a doctor when we get back.
Chloe: Thanks Daniel. I will.
Daniel: If you want, I can check you out.
Philip: That’s not necessary.
Daniel: It most definitely is necessary.
Chloe: Thank you, but I want to see my own doctor.
Daniel: I’m here if you need me.
Daniel walks away. Under his breath, Philip mutters.
Philip: Pompous ass.
Chloe: Philip! He’s just trying to be helpful. Everyone is just trying to help. I find it incredible that all my exes rallied to try to find me. That’s just amazing.
Philip: You're right. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to upset you. You know, you haven’t told me how you managed to escape. In fact, you haven’t told me much of anything.
Chloe: I don’t really want to talk about it.
Philip: Okay. Whenever you’re ready. Or if you’re never ready, that’s fine too.

LOL at Daniel wanting to examin Chloe. I am glad she said she will wait to see her own doc. So happy they are on their way home. Thanks for the chapter Kpatch. I was worried when I did not see one earlier. Hope you and Ron have a fun day.

I'm glad they are headed home. Hopefully Chloe will feel more comfortable after she gets home and sees Parker. I liked Philip's reaction to Daniel.

@ Kpatch. But you are working from home. Could you take an extra long lunch??? For some reason, so many of my meetings are scheduled during the lunch hour. I had a noon meeting and a 1:00 meeting. Hopefully Chloe will feel more comfortable after she gets home and sees Parker. As Philip said to Daniel on the flight to Thailand: Damn it, Daniel, his name is Wesley now.  |
