I wouldn't mind if she took Stefan with her either. But maybe they will recast. My concern is that Gabi's absence will lead to more screentime for Sloan and Gwen and Alex and their awfulness.

It's weird what a mainstay Gabi has been among all the other cast changes. Perfect opportunity to write out Gabi and Stefan, and they can take Rafe with 'em!

I don't blame her...there's really nothing exciting about her character right now. And, it will likely be temporary for her to pursue other interests. I wish her good luck!

I have mixed emotions about Gabi (Camilla) leaving. I'm not sure I want to see a recast for that role. It would be like seeing someone else play Sami, Philip, Nicole or Lucas. I may not always like the character (sometimes even loathe the character) but I'm not sure someone else could step into the role. I wouldn't mind them having her leave in a way to where she could come back in a couple of years or for brief visits to see her brother. I've always loved Rafe and Gabi's relationship.
But good for her for recognizing what she needs and wants. I'm sure their shooting schedule is absolutely crazy being so far ahead like they are. I can't imagine having a baby at 32 but props to all of the mommas that are later in life mommas! I told my ex I would have all the kids I was going to have before I hit 30. After that, no more kids. LOL

I'm really shocked. She was a main and the show was working hard to make big storylines for the character. I wish her well.

Am I the only one truly bummed by this? Gabi is such an electric and often quirkily funny presence. More depressing news. Albeit I haven't been that enamored with this Stefan set up and much preferred Jake. Wither now Stefan? Time to bring back Jake then. And Ava.
Hopefully she comes back as well as Ava. Gabi is too one of a kind to have recast. I can't imagine.
Speaking of Ava Gabi's verbal battles with her are some of my all-time favorite moments on Days. And Rafe loses his sis. Can't I get thru a day without BAD NEWS.

horizon I sometimes don’t mind Gabi as a character and I think the actress is brilliant and beautiful I can’t tolerate anything to do with STefan so the fact that she’s so in love with this creep makes her character insufferable If her story on days is with him than I will gladly bid her farewell Especially if they get rid of him

I am honestly shocked and upset about this.  As someone who was really pulled back into Days hardcore by the early Will/Sonny/Gabi storylines, I hate to have lost Will, then Sonny, and now Gabi. She's always been such an engaging actress to me, like regardless of her story I enjoy watching HER. I kinda love that she came up from humble beginnings to go toe-to-toe with the Dimeras. And her feuds with Abigail, Ava, and Julie have always been fun to watch. I don't really want a recast (even if she's not the OG Gabi, lol). I wish Camila the best and hope she comes back some day. |
