Paul invites Andrew in. He deduces that Andrew gave Steve and John the lead on where to find Megan Hathaway. However, Andrew says he's not allowed to discuss the case. Paul is frustrated. This case is personal for both of them, but Andrew assures Paul that the ISA is doing everything in its power to get justice for Marlena, Kayla, and Kate.
But Andrew really wants to talk about something other than intel. He wants to talk about them. Paul didn't think there was a them anymore since they stopped talking to one another. They haven't been able to figure out the long-distance relationship logistics. But Andrew says he's missed Paul. And Paul has missed him too.
Their last try at this devolved into texts about how they couldn't meet up. They joke about how their first date led them to a hotel room in Hong Kong. Paul still thinks about their first kiss. It felt like the start of something. Andrew admits to sitting at his desk, working late, and thinking about that moment. Wishing they could go back to it. Paul takes his hand and says, maybe they could. The two kiss.
Paul wonders if this isn't a good idea. They've tried this before, and it didn't work out. Are they setting themselves up for more disappointment? They have a strong connection, but it would be smarter to cut their losses before they get in too deep if they can't find time for one another. Andrew agrees that there's a good chance this won't work, but there's a chance that it might, and it's a chance he'd like to take. Paul smiles and kisses him again.
Andrew and Paul make love on the couch. Afterward, Andrew wants to discuss where they go from here. Paul wants to enjoy this perfect moment, but Andrew's phone rings. It's Hope. She needs to see Harris Michaels.

I remember Paul as the closeted athlete etc. Drawing a blank with Andrew.
But what does this scene have to do with the price of pinto beans in Brazil?
To me if felt like a gratuitous gay scene plastered on for no reason other than to show Days is trying to be "inclusive" and "diverse."
Are these characters going to become staples moving forward? I just don't see it.

I really don't care about Paul and Andrew at all. They just feel like random filler at this point. I've never really cared for Paul. Andrew semi made sense regarding the ISA aspect of it, but now they don't really have a purpose.

horizon, Andrew is Kim and Shane Donovan's son, but they've done a horrible job of introducing him. Steve didn't even use his name when he went to his office. Apparently he was part of Beyond Salem, which I didn't watch either. These scenes were a big fail. The show is assuming we all saw Beyond Salem and the relationship with these two. Whether we did or didn't, why did they have to jump into bed immediately? Why not have a little buildup so the viewers can get acquainted/reacquainted and invested in these two. Why did two big men have sex on the couch instead of a bed? And finally, why is the only personal photo Paul has in his apartment the one of Marlena and John? That is weird.

Cracking up about the photo! I thought the scenes were pretty good, but I watched BS2 and thought the Paul/Andrew relationship (and the actors) were a highlight. I do think it's a little weird how they aren't doing much to bridge the gap for those who didn't watch BS2, although I guess that since Days is on Peacock now, anyone watching has access to it.

I loved Paul and Andrew on Beyond Salem 2, so I'm guessing if you didn't watch that, this probably didn't resonate the same way. Although, I will admit, it felt like a rather random way to throw them back into this storyline on regular Days.

As much as I like Paul and Andrew “ call Andrew not Shane now “ Donavan is an intriguing fella to me , this didn’t do it for me
Was interested in the hope needing to see Harris part , and where that goes

I think a little build up, especially for those who don’t know the two, would have made this a lot better. Yesterday was the first time I saw Andrew or knew about this couple and now they’re already having sex. Why do I care about them or root for them?
Give people a chance to get to know characters and their relationships so they’re rooting for them and there’s some anticipation.

I agree it was a random way to throw them into the main show especially Andrew who hasn't been seen onscreen since he was a child.

For a non- Beyond Salem watcher , this really did feel like filler and a way for DOOL to hit Peacock’s sex quota.
But… good for you, Paul! You get yours! I always liked his character.
