In terms of music, we've lost two in the last week or so.
First was Shane McGowan, lead singer of Irish band the Pogues.
Second was Denny Laine, guitarist for Paul McCartney's post-Beatles band Wings.

A very young Ryan O'Neal was one of the stars of Peyton Place, probably the first nighttime soap.
He's best known for Love Story, which was really a horrible movie with bad acting, especially by Ali McGraw.

RIP Ryan O'Neal. One of his kids remarked that he is finally reunited with his great love Farrah Fawcett.

I know Ryan O'Neal was mainly known for his movies, but I really liked him in a short-lived TV series called Miss Match also starring Alicia Silverstone. I think he played her father. Maybe I can catch some episodes of that show somewhere.

The great Andre Braugher who was known for his roles on Homocide: Life on the Streets and more recently as Captain Holt on Brooklyn- Nine Nine passed away after a brief illness. Saw it one X will I was getting ready for work. He was 61.

Oh that's so sad silvananoir1. I loved him on the Homicide show. Me too. (My favorite cop show ever.) He also played a defense attorney on SVU and was great in the comedy Brooklyn 99. Richard Belzer passed away last year so hopefully these two are reunited in the next world. |
