Since Christmas is set fast approaching, what are everyone's plans for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day assuming you guys have any or any special traditions?

I am off Christmas Eve but have to work on Christmas Day (get time and a half) so that is good otherwise not much else here

I only agreed to celebrate this year for the kids
They’re too young to understand grief right now so we are just pushing through
My mom showed up as a surprise and will be joining us but she isn’t in the right frame of mind
The kids are a good distraction but she’s very much missing my dad and has a minimum of 3 melt downs a day

Working on Christmas Eve night but will be home on Christmas day morning and sleep for however long. Wake up and then go to my family's.

We are invited to a friend for Christmas Eve dinner. We've been walking every night to see the lights. Tonight we went to a neighboring community where 13 houses deck their Christmas lights in a Star Wars theme with synchronized music. It's mind blowing. Definitely worth seeing. Here's a piece the local news did on it if you're interested. |

My friend who was hosting Christmas Eve got Covid. So we will have a non-traditional Christmas. I'm making baked eggplant parm and tiramisu Christmas eve and we will have it for Christmas Day dinner too.
There'll be football watching on Sunday for sure!

Spending Christmas Eve mostly at home, but going to church for the late-night candlelight service. Then I'll be spending Christmas Day with my family.
