Kayla wishes she hadn't agreed to do the eulogy. All she can think about is how Abigail died and how she should have saved her. Steve assures her she did everything she could for Abigail.

Jack arrives after fleeing the house due to JJ's outburst. He wants to hear news about catching Abigail's killer, but Steve has nothing new. Jack is upset. Kayla points out that the police say that Abigail's jewelry was stolen and could be a lead. Steve says he doesn't think this was a robbery because nothing else in the mansion was taken, and killing with a knife is personal.

Kate arrives and offers her condolences. She's surprised they're talking about Abigail's murder instead of celebrating her life. Jack agrees and leaves for the funeral.

Kayla still struggles with the eulogy and says she can't find the words. Steve tells her, "I love you," using sign language. He says she'll find a way to express how much she loves Abigail.

Kayla decides to use one of Abigail's favorite poems. "I Carry Your Hear With Me" by EE Cummings. She reads it to Steve, and we continue to hear it as we see the rest of Salem prepare for the funeral.

The moment when a scowling Jack showed up felt true to life. Steve calmly walked him through the paces and Steve's instincts of course feel right. Makes no sense that Abigail's murder was a result of a robbery gone wrong.

Kate's pregnant pause when for a second, she was thinking about Lucas when in fact Steve was referring to Philip was rather funny.

The poem montage was extremely touching. It really lends itself to the gravity Days has emphasized behind Abigail's death and it sets up the murder investigation in good stead with the proper amount of weight it deserves. I give Days credit for not doing a go through the motions drive by memorial regarding such a key character in Abigail.

Will Days live up to the high bar they have created here as the murder mystery becomes their main storyline?

I thought the whole point was for Kayla to speak from the heart using her own words, not someone else's.

I'm guessing that this was the funeral and we are not going to see any more.

I really enjoyed these Steve and Kayla scenes. Loved how Steve was calm,and the voice of reason as Kayla was trying to find the right words to express about Abigail. Loved how Steve signed that he loves Kayla. Loved this throw back to SnK’s early love story. The reading of the poem at the end of the episode was a great way to close it out. Mary Beth Evans has such a calm wonderful voice. It was touching to hear her read such a beautiful poem that expressed how she felt about Abigail.
