I say it every year Fairytale of New York More so this year as I’m a bit on the scroogie side I usually love Christmas but this year I’m a bah humbug so I relate to the lyrics “merry Christmas me arse ….”

I'd say this is in honor of Mike Nesmith's passing this week, but this has actually been a favorite of mine since I was a kid watching reruns of The Monkees. They did this song at the end of their Christmas episode in 1967.
It's Ríu Ríu Chíu. It's Spanish and from the 1500s. I love how they sing it a cappella and in a round. And I don't even think that Mickey Dolenz, the lead singer, spoke Spanish which makes it all the more impressive.
I have a whole playlist on Spotify of some Christmas songs that I listen to especially while putting up decorations. And yep - most are country artists LOL.
Christmas Cookies by George Strait Christmas in Dixie by Alabama Jingle Bell Rock by Bobby Helms Let It Be Christmas by Alan Jackson Santa Looked Alot like Daddy by Brad Paisley Merry Christmas from the Family by Montgomery Gentry Here Comes Santa Clause by Gene Autry Thank God for Kids by Kenny Chesney (The Oak Ridge Boys version is great too) Where are you Christmas by Faith Hill (I'm really feeling this song this year) Rockin Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee The Chipmunk Song Do You Hear What I Hear by Carrie Underwood A Christmas to Remember by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers I'm Getting Nothing for Christmas by The Peter Pan Singers Mary, Did You KNow by Kenny Rogers and Wynonna Judd The Cowboy Christmas Ball by Michael Martin Murphy Santa Claus is Watching You by Ray Stevens Kung Pao Buckaroo Holiday by Brad Paisley with the Kung Pao Buckaroos Baby, It's Cold Outside by Lady A Take me Home for Christmas by Dan + Shay Lit This Year by Flordia Georgia Line (this one cracked me up so it automatically joined the list) Two-Step 'Round the Christmas Tree by Suzy Bogguss
Then I have a Christmas album from a local family. All songs were written and performed by them. The song they have that I fell in love with it the moment I heard it is called Little Hands. When talking to the son, he said that was his mom's favorite song on the album too.

So many! Here are a few of my favorites: "Same Old Lang Syne" by Dan Fogelberg "All I Want for Christmas Is You" by Vince Vance and the Valiants (not to be confused with that other more popular song of the same name). "Christmas Wrapping" by The Waitresses "Hey Santa!" by Carnie and Wendy Wilson "Peace On Earth/Little Drummer Boy" by David Bowie and Bing Crosby "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24" by Savatage/Trans-Siberian Orchestra (they're technically the same band, plus or minus a few members. The song was originally done by Savatage, then redone with slightly different instrumentation by TSO) "2000 Miles" by the Pretenders "Fairytale of New York" by The Pogues featuring Kirsty MacColl "The 12 Days of Christmas" by Straight No Chaser "Stille Nacht" by Mannheim Steamroller
