Don't forget the children's shows and game shows too. It used to be a soap affair primarily but not anymore.

Didn't they used to call it the Daytime Soap Opera awards? Not sure. I think SOD had it's own awards show once upon a time.

Ok, here are my thoughts -
Lead Actress: Diedre - Really??? Allison had some good stuff to work with but I'm not sure it would get her an Emmy. The Y&R ladies definately had some good stuff to work with this year from what I saw.
Lead Actor: Galen definately had some good stuff to submit. James - he had an exciting storyline last year??
Supporting Actress: Valerie - Falling down stairs & dying will earn you an emmy?? It's her fault we were subjected to Taylor - nope, no Emmy for her!! Nadia - not a fan of hers, but I can see where she might have had emmy worthy material. Ari - that girl deserves it!
Supporting Actor: Shawn or Matt mmmmmm - being "last years" nominations, I wouldn't think that Matt would have had a whole lot to work with. I think the PTSD stuff was more January wasn't it? Shawn - i don't know.
Don't think Days will end up with a nomination here.
Younger Actress: Molly, Kate, Shelley Molly had some good stuff, but the short time that Kate has been on scene, her stuff has been better. I'd have to go with Kate even tho her current storyline isn't cutting it for me yet. Don't care for Shelley.
Younger Actor Chandler Massey all the way. All others are just wasting thier time! Casey had some good stuff too so I would be ok with a nomination for him but Chandler is on top of the game right now and has been for some time!
