Which Three Characters Would You Get Rid Of? (Read 235 times)

I know not everyone feels this way but I’ve seen a lot of people say there are too many people on the show right now and they’d rather have less characters so more time could be spent focusing on the stories they care about.

SO - If you could cut up to three characters CURRENTLY ON SCREEN who would they be? If you want to go into why you can too.

I would definitely get rid of Bonnie.
I don’t think Jake really adds anything either. And I’d cut Gwen. I just don’t like the character and I hate the whole story of Jack being with some random woman we’ve never heard of before.

Hard to only pick three
Gwen is first to go for me as she literally adds nothing to the show and her nail biting grossed me out
Bonnie
And the last slot is hard to choose from the following: rafe, Gabi and jake together and Brady
If I can do Gabi and jake as a pair I’ll award them my last slot for good riddance

I love this question wendylou and I agree that there are too many characters on canvas right now so you barely see some of them but once or twice a week or sometimes every other week.

I agree with doolfan4life that it's hard to choose just three. But here goes.

Gwen - She's been a waste from the beginning. Seriously hate her.
Bonnie - Why kill off Adriene only to have a poor substitute take over her life?
Marlena - Never liked her. Never will. She's sucked up too much airtime for 40 years. Buh bye.
Honorable mention. I would not miss Ben and Ciara if they were gone.

I picked three to make it a little bit of a challenge. Also, how did I forget Ben & Ciara?

Does the devil count? I'm fine keeping Marlena but we don't need this evil alter ego.

I would get rid of Bonnie because she adds nothing. I can't stand Gabi so she can go too. Tossup between Jake and Gwen for the third.

So hilarious, “ does the devil count?” I totally agree!! The Marlena possession was the one plotline that made me stop watching Days for awhile long ago. Not a story that needs to be repeated.

I would pick:
1) Abigail (she’s done horrible things but is touted as a saint)
2) Chad (I find him irritating/boring with Abigail)
3) the new EJ (I find him one of the worst characters on the show now - he comes off as so insecure and pretending to be menacing. I don’t believe him. I don’t like him. I SO wish they’d recast him.

1. Bonnie (Justin can follow her or stay. I just don't care.)
2. Abigail (Snore... I find her so boring. Chad is actually more interesting when he's away from her.)
3. Gabi and Jake (they need to go together)

Honorable Mention: Rafe. (He's okay running the Salem PD, but as a romantic lead he's horrible and tends to make the female character he's paired with far less likable.)

ProudTVJunkie Abigail was also on my short list, but I like Marci Miller even though I don't like the character, so I was conflicted.

Abby would be next on my list if I had 5 choices. She and Chad are so blah it is hard to believe they've had as many front-burner stories as they have. Zzzzz

Abby played by Kate mansi would have been on my list but I like Marci Miller so she made my cut
I have a lot of hard to choose from tbh
Dool could afford to get rid of a few more than 3
But I understand the challenge because with differing opinions and endless choices there would be no one left in Salem
